weluv Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 yeah paddy's head's got a bit worse so he's been out recently. Been immense for us though-player of the season for me, up there with Higgs & Johnson. Why you didn't keep him i don't know, he's quality.

We coped last year without him, we're coping without him this season. Our defensive stats show that.
Radovan's Caravan Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 what? they were. One shot, which Ankergren ****s up and they're 1-0 up. He didn't touch the ball other than to pick it out of the net. At least Higgs should be back for the replay, can't see us losing tbh. Becchio, Johnson, Higgs, Naylor & Kisnorbo all back so a much stronger team, and at home. Then on to Old Trafford Funny - I seem to remember a few more than that (unless they counterfeit games on Justin tv). I also recollect 'The Poppies' embarrassing you all too frequently on the break (NB perfect style for the away leg)... and that you hoofed it more than they did.
lcfc_jme Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 Leeds should have won, glad they didn't though as I live with a Leeds fan. Kettering have no hope in the 2nd leg though, they'll crumble to the "Elland Road Wall of Noise" and Leeds will take it 4-0 but get absolutely spanked by Yanited.
Simi Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 How funny would it be if Leeds lost the replay? Leeds fans would probably cry into their Yorkshire Puddings for weeks at the fact they lost out on playing United.
intotheforest Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 Really?? Will be by no means easy! We always play generally well vs Brum and I'm feeling very confident going into this; especially considering when we played a better team in Blackburn there was few and far between us. Gotta a feeling we'll emulate a win like we did against Charlton a few seasons back.

Leeds fans would probably cry into their Yorkshire Puddings for weeks at the fact they lost out on playing United. on the contrary, we have fixtures against Carlisle United and Southend United to come. However, if you mean Manchester United then yes, losing to Kettering would prevent us playing them. More than one united you dickhead, grow some fooking self respect.

As soon as you lot stop being deluded, holier-than-thou, pie-in-the-sky muppets, people might actually listen to the advice you lot give out. Until then, it'll be hilarious watching you get pissy like old flange when Yanited are a) mentioned and b) shit all over you.

weluv Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 sorry pal, I'm just pointing out that there's more than one united. fook me, there'll be two of them playing on the 3rd (assuming we beat Kettering). It disrespects every other team called united when you indulge in this media asslicking of scum. Or Man u, if that's easier for you. It's fewer letters as well, which means less effort. On the flipside, I'm really pleased about how city are doing at the moment. They've been shit for a while and last season wasn't great for them, but it really looks like this could be their year and i wish them all the best? Leicester? Oh fook me, they're shite. I thought we all knew we were talking about Manchester City? Do Leicester City even matter? Obviously not, there's only one city anyone gives a shit about. Think about it.

What league you in?? We don't matter?? Get the fuck off our forum then.
weluv Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 pal I'm just providing the flipside view. For me it's disrespectful to refer to one team as 'united', just as it is to do as 'city', which is why i don't do it. As for my personal views, i think you guys'll be there or thereabouts this season, and i hope you get promotion and let us keep Gradel.

Yes and we know that you think that. Whereas it's a fair point, it's pretty fair to say that when someone says "United" they're generally talking about Manchester United Football Club. There's only one United that anyone gives a shit about. Think about it.

Think about it. thats actually true because most people only give a shit about the premiership and the big teams (the richest ones and occasionlly some poor frenchman(arsenal)) but i fail to see how you can class us a shit when, correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm sure we haven't lost to you since 2005 and even then it was a blatantly offside goal that won it for you. Meanwhile last time i checked the tables leicester are 3rd in the CCC and L1 title holders. This compared to leeds - L1 play-off losers 2 years in a row. You do the math.
weluv Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 mate when i say 'united' i don't fooking mean scum. I'm guessing plenty of Geordies, Cumbrians, Essex boys, Hartlepudians, Sheffielders, cockneys, Devonians, peterborians and herefordians agree with me. Same as i imagine it grates to hear people going on about 'city' exlcusively to refer to Man Citeh, when there's yourselves, Brum, Brizzle, Cardiff, Cov, Swansea, Exeter, Norwich, Bradford & Lincoln. Showing a bit of respect doesn't take much, so i don't think it's too much to ask. and again pal, read the fooking post and think about it before spouting off.

weluv Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 United v Manure? sure will be. not that obvious, because Leeds United will be playing Manchester United. I'd say going on about 'unied' in that context was actually about as ambiguous as you could get.

Fosse Boy Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 Gotta say, I get genuinely annoyed when people refer to Man City as just City.
Edmund Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 Either way it will make for a cracking game but sadly for you I can see United beating you.

Someone is a bit gutted that they aren't the ones referred to soley as United. Shit happens.
