lavrentis Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 Man U vs Leeds is big. Massive rivalry, cant wait.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 I enjoyed Setantas coverage of the Kettering game wish they did some Championship footy aswell.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 ITV love Manchester United , can't believe their showing that game Well, it's easy to blame ITV, and I do. Look at last season, ITV chose Man Utd in EVERY round except the 3rd round agains Soton. The 4th, 5th, QF, SF live games all featured Man Utd. However, Don't forget the BBC had their penis up United's arse, and featured them very, very heavily, as much as ITV do. Of course it's the commerical decision, but it's frustrating, because there's never any variety in the ties. Granted Man Utd-Leeds is a big tie, but It'll be an easy victory for United. Their choices for the 3rd round are ok though. The three games are all tasty looking matches, and this third round draw is pretty poor in terms of 'big' ties Just remember in future, ITV have three live games.... two will be picked and one will be Man Utd vs. Whoever, EVERY time.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 Man United v Leeds isn't your ordinary Prem v League One tie is it? It's a big rivalry even though they haven't played a league match for years and Leeds will probably never be able to compete with them again. The loathing is still there, even if it has faded somewhat on Manure's part. It'll be a meaty tie and I can imagine the Leeds fans creating a decent atmosphere on what will be their biggest away day in years. It's understandable that it's being shown on TV, even if it does become something of a arseraping.
BoneDog Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 Man Utd v Leeds is a game we should all look forward to. It's what football is all about. Massive rivalry and history. Atmosphere will be amazing and I'm glad we all get the pleasure to watch it for free. Also West Ham v Aresenal is a treat for all the same reasons. Reading v Liverpool, meh (first time I've ever said meh )
Fosse Boy Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 The best Saturday of 2010 is nearly upon us... Anyone else excited?
StanSP Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 The best Saturday of 2010 is nearly upon us...Anyone else excited? Quite. Shame it's just Swansea, but it's the FA Cup
Fosse Boy Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 Quite.Shame it's just Swansea, but it's the FA Cup That's the spirit!
Bert Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 Why do people moan that United always get on? There's only one team that's better to watch and that's Arsenal. There's more United fans than any other team on the planet. ITV aren't daft, they want to boost their ratings. Plus there's not many better games on that weekend.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 The best Saturday of 2010 is nearly upon us...Anyone else excited? To be honest I'm not excited, mainly because of Leicester's previous shiteness in the FA cup and lack of decent tie, again!!! And to be honest there aren't that many fixtures, bar Man Utd-Leeds, that really excite me in the 3rd round. I'm more looking forward to the Carling Cup semi between Man City and Man Utd.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 Have a severe amount of distain for the FA Cup this season. Of course i'll be a bastard turncoat if we have a good run, but Swansea, the prospect of a replay in Swansea on a Tuesday night in January does not fill me with wonderful joy and hope. Here's hoping we make a swift and dignified exit, or we get some heavyweights if we progress... i'd hate to get knocked out in the 5th round having played teams like Swansea, Preston and Blackpool
LCFC-ARAB Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 I love the FA Cup and cannot wait for tomorrow!! Fosse for the cup!!!
James. Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 The magic of the cup clearly on show at the JJB today...
MC Prussian Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 FA Cup overrated - with Liverpool losing against Reading???
Part Of The Crowd Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Burnley can count themselves lucky. In a terrific match we really gave them a game and a draw or even a win for us wouldn't of been undeserved. Their first goal was ridiculous, Lewie should of booted it out, he had loads of time. However, the ball got to Doumbe and Fletcher dived at the ball and a penalty was awarded. Second was a well worked goal. For the second half Burnley rarely got out of their own penalty box and didn't even leave players upfield. The box was just too full of players at times and every shot got blocked. The Dons got a fully deserved goal when Morgan volleyed it in off of the bar. Dons fans really got believing and there was plenty of noise, for once.

CosbehFox Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 If there's one benefit to tomorrow morning's game been called off, it's to see Man U and Leeds have a go at each other again.

It won't be like the old days though. Fact is that Man United could probably field two or three sides capable of beating Leeds now, as they could for most other Championship or League One clubs. Atmosphere should be decent at least.
Tommeh Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Went Bolton Lincoln today to please the old man, Bolton are the biggest set of small time tinpot gobshites I've ever come across, worse than Stoke! Felt horrible missing Leicester's win and was at one point bracing myself for a trip to Swansea. Leeds - MU will be the first game i'll watch on TV this season, really anticipating a good one. Can't wait for next round with City.

When you're outsung at home by Lincoln as Bolton were, it's probably time to give up and spend your Saturdays watching repeats of Top Gear on Dave. 4-0 was very harsh on Lincoln by all accounts as well, have to say that the Reebok is one Premiership away tie I would be disappointed with.

United's record has hardly been smashing in dismissing lower league sides....Burton and Exeter both claiming replay's against them!

United's record has hardly been smashing in dismissing lower league sides....Burton and Exeter both claiming replay's against them! I think the difference is that Leeds have the worst of both worlds though. The very fact that they have the Leeds name will mean that Man United fans will demand a victory at the first time of asking, and Ferguson will not fancy a trip to what would be an extremely hostile Elland Road. I'd expect him to put out an appropriately strong team because of these two reasons, which Leeds do not have a strong enough team to be able to handle. They'll be up for it definitely, but so will Manure once Ferguson has picked a strong team I imagine.

There was around 3,500 Lincon there, outsinging them wasn't hard against 300 chavs. Every song they sang was cringeworthy as fu ck.Tried to play the "higher division, we are premier league" all the way through. Sang Owen Coyles name throughout too, would love him to turn them down now.
