davieG Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 OS# Training As Normal For King Posted on: Mon 09 Nov 2009 City's Andy King had to leave the pitch early on Saturday against WBA, having suffered an injury. Since the incident Andy has been reviewed by a consultant and had follow-up x-rays of his injured wrist, concluding that King can continue training and playing as normal. "The consultant has cleared the wrist of any fracture but has recommended that Andy receives treatment and wears a brace during exercise for the next few weeks. Andy will be reporting for international duty for Wales as planned, but will not be risked unless fully fit," Dave Rennie, LCFC Head Physiotherapist, said. Fellow Fox Ryan McGivern has also been called up to play for Northern Ireland.

MPH Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 thats good news!! King and wellens in the middle for our next game... in a couple of weeks!
Fox92 Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 Hope he is fit - such as good player, had a few good games this season. As for McGivern, I know that most are not to keen on him, still don't know myself yet, but if he plays for Northen Ireland and has done for a bit, and also Manchester City whether he gets a game or not, must be a good player. - I think.
muffin Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 Thats great news about Kingy, and hopefully Oakley will be fit after the 1 match suspension.
SMX11 Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 tbh i would get another centre midielder in on loan anyway. I cant stand Oakley atm he just looks jaded in his movements and passing.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 Thought he had broken his arm so thats great news.

I think his legs are gone, even at QPR he did not stand out like the other 2 in midfield. He has had a poor season imo, I would get another loan player in as well to replace Oakley, at least in the short term, he definately is not the player he was, maybe a while out of the side might re-charge his batteries, but yes I agree with you I dont think he is worth his place in the team.
jonthefox Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 theres a lot of negativaty over oakley lately, and i really cant see why. he`s been a tad dodgy lately i`ll grant you, but im sure he`ll come good. good news about kingy too.
BoneDog Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 Absolutely buzzing about this, I only just found out.

Bit of inside info on Oakley. He enjoys tennis and often plays with a guy who assessed my coaching badges. That guy said Oakley's knees have pretty much gone and swell up after most games, requiring icing. I think this can sometimes be seen in his performances. I rate him highly but also agree he is plagued by inconsistency which I would put down to his knee problems, not lack of effort or interest.

Jimmy Posted 14 November 2009 Posted 14 November 2009 I know Pearson doesn't seem to rate him but Weso's loan is up at Christmas and he's done quite well apparently so he coud well come back as the back up CM
