lou Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 We can't deal with pace. Anderson, Earnshaw and when he came on McGugan made us look idiots. Everything was wrong yesterday, you know it's going to be a bad day when our normally most reliable players don't turn up. Wellens and King couldn't get hold of the ball. Brown was made to look like a mug, and Berner was like someone who had just took up ice skating for the very first time, he could not stay on his feet for his life yesterday. I was pleased that Pearson realised that the gameplan wasn't working and changed it quickly, but even that was no good. Dyer just thought he could run through people, and hopefully he's learnt that he can't do that. The Officials were truly awful, Waghorn could'v got kicked in his face yesterday and still wouldn't have got a decision in his favour. Morgan was all over him and we could've easily had a penalty in the first ten minutes, numerous free-kicks where Morgan was practically raping the lad, then Waghorn barely touches Morgan and the big man falls over, and what happens? Free kick to Forest. e was a massive joke and I hope pearson rates the ref no higher than 1. We only got the penalty for handball because of the farcical decision ten minutes before. It wouldn't have made a difference it would seem, but getting a goal back at 3-0 gives you more a chance of coming back into the game when you're 4-0 down, funnily enough. Not gonna take anything away from Forest though, everytime they came forward they loked like they were going to score. As stated, Waghorn was the only player to come out of the game with any credit. Was beginning to think Id dreamt this? I thought we should have had one just before they broke and scored their 1st (or was it 2nd!)
davieG Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Never read pre-match write ups after a game: Robbie Neilson believes Leicester City can shackle Nottingham Forest's potent attack when the teams meet for the first time in the league for four years at the City Ground today.Fourth-placed Forest are buoyant after their 4-1 hammering of Doncaster Rovers last weekend and the hosts have failed to score in only three Championship games this season. However, City have one of the best defensive records in the division, having conceded 15 goals in 18 games, and right back Neilson said the Forest forward line hold no fears for them. He said: "They will be good up-front. They scored a few last week and they have some strong players but I think we have enough to handle them, and I think we have enough up-front and in midfield to score the goals. "We have been strong this season and we haven't conceded a lot of goals and, hopefully, we can do that again and let the forwards score some goals. "They are scoring a lot of goals but so were QPR before we played them. I think they had scored four in their previous three games but then they faced us and we got the victory. "We defend as a team and I am very confident we can go there and win." Neilson said City's determination to stay defensively strong was not an indication that they will be negative, and he promised they were going for three points, not one. "I have always had the belief that you have to go into every game wanting to win it and not setting up your stall for just a point," he said. "We have to go there and try and win, and we will be doing that."
RedHux Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Was in X2 row G. To the right of the goal, facing the trent end. Yeah this copper was a big eared ponts, who couldn't really give a flying **** about the leicester fans. I only ask cos I was sitting above you lot slightly to the left of the goal, the end toward the A-block/mainstand and saw nothing being chucked from there....but as it turns out I wasn't near you or your mate so wasn't likely to see anything A lot of coppers are ponts, complete and utter pontses.
Maybes Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Simply outclassed by a much better team. They kept the ball on the floor and cut us to peices whereas we lumped it to our strikers who were getting owned by the florest centre back pairing. The only player to come out of the game with any credit is Waghorn at least the lad looked up for it. Oh and all the forest ****** doing chelsea dagger

C-man Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Yeh McCleary looked very impressive when he came on. May have something to do with Bruno Berner having a mare, but having never heard of him before (sorry!), I thought he was great. He made me want Gradel back asap! RedHux, you have an exceptional side
eaststandtom Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 very disappointed with yesterday. i have been thinking for a while we would fall short this season. to me a top 10 finish is realistic and what we should have our sights on after the excellent start we have had. the fact that forest were very good going forward and city had a shocking day at the office meant we were hammered. these things happen and the only positive to come out of it is that hopefully expectations can be reassessed. i felt that nguessen and gallagher (pace like forest) could have been effective and the logic of bringing howard on was clear due to the strength he could offer. howard offered nothing. looked slow and took and age to turn. his first touch was awful. oakley shown the door though? mmmmmm

RedHux, you have an exceptional side Yea, he's one of those annoying trickster wingers that full backs hate playing against especially after an hour of chasing someone else around. Dead handy to have in the squad. Billy's built a squad and not just a team. Most of our bench would get into many sides in the championship. Makes a change to have a decent side rather then the dog poo we've been had to put up with lately.
muffin Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Never mind the fair weather B/S, I was watching LCFC before you were a wank in your dads eye . Probably most of your dads wished they had flushed a few of you away too (save them years of PAIN! ) That aside, Its a fact that most of the players who are out on loan are doing the biz for there respective teams. One would think there was no loss of form, rather that while here, they were not being played or played out of position or asked to do things that they were uncomfortable with. BTW its not just at Forest, we should of been HAMMERED at Reading (where we were equally as clue less) Even our so called best performance of the season when things were going so well at the start of the game Pearson revealed his tactical naivety be switching from 2 strikers to just one up top, enabling QPR to push on take the initiative and score! ((Fortunately one of the City coaches bent his ear then even HE realised this schoolboy error and corrected it in time)) I'm afraid it will become obvious by the end of the season (even to the dull one's here) that dear old Mr Pearson tactical know-how, aint what it should be. FAR FROM IT muffin
Sods Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Probably might sound a bit stupid, but in the long run it might be what we need this result. We won't want to be beaten like that again thats for sure, we haven't got good enough players to play average in this league let alone shite to get anything from most games. So hopefully they might realise we have to work hard for every game. The Army ovation was class, actually was brilliant. Spoke to two Forest fans, who thought that was the best they have played in 3/4 years. Think Pearson wanted to start with Dyer but it would have been hard to leave out Yann, bring on Tuesday night as we will need a resons, games come thick and fast in December!

FAR FROM IT muffin Shows that in your longer years of living than most of us on this board, your common sense and understanding of the game is lacking. Being older than someone else does not mean you are not a fairweather fan so don't give this "I'm the oldest so I know best" bollocks.

davieG Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Did one of the players get married this week? http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.ph...&hl=Wedding

Kilworthfox Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 1st post on this. You learn from your mistakes & this is a wonderful opportunity to analyse the areas where we are not up to scratch on the field. Robbie Neilsen trys hard & I was impressed with his attitude when he signed, he gave a good 1st interview, however every time I have seen him play he has been way short of a Championship player. I could slate the guy but basicly he is not up to the required standard. Not his fault just the way it is. Needs to be sold or offloaded some how, even MON made some dodgy buys, but recognised & was man enough to do what was necessary for the team to progress & improve. (Insert LCFC player name) had a mare, but he had a bad day, that can be said for pretty much everyone bar Waghorn. Fans have slated Hobbs & Brown, I would like to suggest that they both have weaknesses within their game, Brown's is pace & Hobbs is agility, so when they come up against quick strikers on form then there will be a problem. Add the fact that they had no support from the full backs then it was a recipe for disaster. Bristol City on Tuesday! I will attend this game, I am very much looking forward to seeing a reclamation of pride and an apology to the fans with a performance full of commitment and effort. A win would be lovely but 1st we have to earn the right to wear the shirt. Be positive, we are 4th, this season has gone very very well, Pearson is doing a magnificent job! To anyone who believes Pearson should be castigated because of 1 result, you must realise that you know nothing about football & your opinion has no place within this forum, because the vast majority of people who I know on here are level headed objective supporters who do know football.
acooling08 Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Does anyone else really hate Earnshaw? Little cocky buck-toothed twat.
z-layrex Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Does anyone else really hate Earnshaw? Little cocky buck-toothed twat. He has the head of someone with dwarfism on a tall body it's hilarious. Anyway im no football expert so im not about to start saying what lc need to do after this embarrassing game. But I really hope they sort it out, this just shouldnt happen. Anyway, time to beat B to the ristol
RedHux Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Does anyone else really hate Earnshaw? Little cocky buck-toothed twat. Hobbs and Brown are probably not that keen. Did anyone see, waghorn do the "shush" finger to lips after scoring?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Does anyone else really hate Earnshaw? Little cocky buck-toothed twat. I hate him for the fact he always scores against us and I knew he would yesterday. Didn't expect a hat-trick though. Would swap him for Fryatt anyday.
Edmund Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Did anyone see, waghorn do the "shush" finger to lips after scoring? Yep, couldn't understand why. We were 4-1 down at that point. Anyway couldn't care less, love Waghorn. Has that natural tenacious side to him which annoys the opposition fans and players.
davieG Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Hobbs and Brown are probably not that keen. Did anyone see, waghorn do the "shush" finger to lips after scoring? From the highlights it looked like he was doing it in response to the crowd after giving up trying to get the ball off the Forest goalkeeper.

Koke Posted 6 December 2009 Author Posted 6 December 2009 Hobbs and Brown are probably not that keen. Did anyone see, waghorn do the "shush" finger to lips after scoring? Reminded me of Arshavin who always does it when he scores, even when he's playing at home in front of his own fans. What's that all about?
