maddog Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 If we can actually win the '2 home games in a row' which we haven't done so far in 3 attempts we can all forget about Forest and we will probably be back in 3rd place by Saturday evening. Bristol aren't doing that great, Wednesday even worse just above the drop zone, so 6 points is needed.
Bert Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 To be fair to Brown, he even tried showing Earnshaw onto his weaker foot too, but that didn't work.
lou Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 God just seen the goals again on the news.... not pretty viewing. LD3 did you move to the front row 2nd half coz I swear we just saw you on telly (again )

The TV loves me, they probably still managed to pick me out

Makes a change!
Daggers Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 By that, I am more inclined to believe that you were mates with George, as opposed to imparting any wisdom upon proceedings...... Isn't it Lush/Ibbosuk/all of the other stupid accounts she sets up just to be abusive?
Bert Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 I was thinking earlier. We've lost 4 four games this season, and we currently lie in 4th. The 3 teams above us have beaten us and we've lost to (One of) our bogey team too. We didn't really look out of place at Newcastle, and we could've got a point against West Brom. We've only been outplayed this season by Forest.
davieG Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 Before we played QPR they were everyone's favourites to at least get a play-off spot since then they've crumbled and lost their last 2 games 5-1 at home and 3-1.
Ozwin Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 I think this topic should die, I'm trying to repress the Forest battering and I keep being reminded of it!
Guest Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 I think this topic should die, I'm trying to repress the Forest battering and I keep being reminded of it! Absolutely. Can we close it, chalk this one up to experience and move on?
CosbehFox Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 I think you're right. He was dumped right in it. 1 on 1 against a faster tricky opponent. He could either go for a heroic tackle risking all and possibly getting sent off or stall hoping for a bit of help. As it was he stalled and no one helped. If I was to blame anyone I'd blame the chap who gave earnie the ball. Correct. Anyone whose not blessed with pace and played centre half, you'll know the score. You try and wait for the striker to go on his bad foot or him to slow down but when you had a lad in Earnshaw's confidence, it was a loser from day one.
Guest ttfn Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 Correct. Anyone whose not blessed with pace and played centre half, you'll know the score. You try and wait for the striker to go on his bad foot or him to slow down but when you had a lad in Earnshaw's confidence, it was a loser from day one. He may have been dumped in it but I've just seen the goal for the first time and it was fooking awful defending. Backing off may have been acceptable if it wasn't for the fact that he was backing off in a straight line. He had to lead Earnshaw away from goal and instead he just encouraged him towards it. For all of his ability in the tackle, Brown is fooking woeful against pace.
RedHux Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 If he'd taken any steps forward Earnie would've just knocked it past him. As it was he tried to guide Earnie onto his wrong foot but it didn't work. Sometimes you have to credit a player for being good enough to score in that situation. I'm not sure Brown could've done much at all.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 What a wonderful result! Slaughtered by Forest! N.P. beware, The knives will soon be out.
A fox for life Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 i think this game was my Fault. i work in a nottingham hotel and we had forest for a pre-match meal at 8am on saturday morning and i was in charge of it . . . i had plenty of time to sabotage there meal. . . laxatives, undercooked chicken etc etc... we have them again this week hmmmm billy davis asked me for more sugar in his coffee when they were in a meeting with all the coaches. i should have listened to the team talk. damn. (disclosure. i would not in any way purposely harm any guest in my place of work and only write this for humour and interest purposes)
