DB11 Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 Sky Sports News Says he's dismissed suggestions linking him with a return to Portsmouth and vowed not leave Leicester. I didn't even know he was linked He wouldn't leave, would he?
Daggers Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 No. Mandy will never leave us - he loves the club too much. Cut him and he'll bleed Leicester...in fact, he is planning on naming his next three children 'LCFC', 'Pearson' and 'Walkers'. No chairman has ever been more committed to a club. Ever.
The Doctor Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 on a slightly related topic i saw in the NOTW on sunday that Mandaric and Redknapp are being charged with fraud from when they were at pompey.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 Didn't he ring up the football forum yesterday? Or is my mate talking crap.
Bluefoxtim Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 Didn't he ring up the football forum yesterday? Or is my mate talking crap. Yes he did. He also rubbished reports about Pearson contract talks stalling.
davieG Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 He simply couldn't afford Pompey at least with us he's got a chnace of making some serious dosh if we get promoted or sell us at a small profit, Pompey have already spent their Premier/TV cash and more.
Corky Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 Oh well, I'm sure Martin George or John Elsom will come back if he goes.
Sly Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 Oh well, I'm sure Martin George or John Elsom will come back if he goes. Here's me hoping for a return of Barrie Pierpoint!!
shiv Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric has moved to quash the latest speculation linking him with a return to his former club Portsmouth. The Premier League strugglers have been plagued by financial worries this term. But Mandaric called BBC Radio Leicester's Football Forum on Monday and said: "I'd like to reassure fans that I am loyal and am here to stay. "I love my ex-supporters in Portsmouth but I did my job there and I finished my mission." Mandaric was Portsmouth chairman from to 1998-2006 and oversaw the club's rise to the top flight during his time at Fratton Park. But Mandaric said explained: "I took the club to where they belong but I never said I would buy the club back and never said I would leave Leicester. "One day when I leave Leicester it will not because I want to leave but because I have finished my mission. "I am loyal to my supporters here and I hope they are loyal to me. There is nothing to worry about. We need to stay united and get as high as we can together."
Shrenchel Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 Am I only one that had heard fvck all about this apparent rumour he's 'moved to quash'?! Seems like Mandy wants people talking about it. If he hadn't gone to the press it would have probably stayed as a few chinese whispers amongst the rent boys at pompey docks.
Babylon Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 Am I only one that had heard fvck all about this apparent rumour he's 'moved to quash'?! Seems like Mandy wants people talking about it. It has been in the national press and on other forums for days. http://www.talkingballs.co.uk/showthread.php?t=29845
Shrenchel Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 It has been in the national press and on other forums for days.http://www.talkingballs.co.uk/showthread.php?t=29845 Fair enough. Hadn't got wind. I'd rate the sunday people and talkingballs pretty low down on my list of things to ever fvcking read again in my entire lifetime if at all possible though.
Daggers Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 "I did my job there and I finished my mission."
Kilworthfox Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 I would luv it, really luv it if we had a proper owner who: 1: understood the traditions of the club & football 2: supports the manager 3: does not treat the fans like customers, but supporters
Zingari Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 i'd just like to quash the rumours that i am about to take over as chairman and invest billions into the club
davieG Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 Just had mail from the man himself. Dear davieG, You can rest assured that I will not leave until I have invested all of my promised £25 million. Milan (Leicester City's most massive fan)

Milan (Leicester City's most massive fan) But he has already bought the ground, and pumped in £14m last year to keep us going and paid out on top players like DJ Campbell.
Daggers Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 Milan(Leicester City's most massive fan) Lee Jobber, surely?
davieG Posted 22 December 2009 Posted 22 December 2009 Lee Jobber, surely? The way he bangs his own drum I thought he was Mandaric in a fat suit.
