True, my brother got over a year once for having a little scuffle with a copper and on the same day in court there was this guy who had thrown his baby down the stairs breaking some bones and he only got about 12 months. I was shocked at that and couldn't work it out :dunno:

I think if my brother hadn't of squirted chilli sauce in the coppers eyes his sentence would of been a bit less though, but that doesn't excuse the light sentence for the baby basher.

Assaulting a police officer blah blah blah does attract a higher sentence than ordinary assaults, which is why the police usually go for that one. However, a lot of cases fall flat as it turns out the copper wasn't acting in the execution of his duty at the time, and the defendant walks free. Apparently it's more serious if you attack a copper, rather than an ordinary member of the public.

A mugger has been handed an eight-month detention sentence for snatching a student's beef burger and eating it.

lol Do you know what kind of burger it was. It better of been at least a BK Whopper. I wouldn't risk 8 months for anything less!

I'd fight to the death for a BK Big King burger. No questions asked.

Well he's a bit of a numpty for fighting a copper. Seems harsh stil. I was in a nightclub last saturday and this guy tried to nut one of the bouncers (he was a pretty hench guy) took 5 of them to chuck him out in the end. In throwing him out I think he lashed out at one of the bouncers and hit him. (One of them was puting his fist in his mouth to try and calm him down)

This guy probably got chucked out and nothing more. But he was probably being just as violent, if not more than your brother. Unfortunately our justice system is BS most of the time.

I agree my brother was an idiot and he got what he deserved really, I was just astonished at the light sentence the other guy got on the same day at court, he deserved a fair few more years!

I've thought about starting a thread about this before cos I've seen loads of videos of police attacks! But I don't wanna give out the wrong impression like I hate all coppers so I haven't bothered :D

You're right, he is a bit of a numpt! I try to talk to him but he just don't seem to pissin listen or learn. He's not nasty or oat, he's a nice bloke, just seems to go a bit stupid now and then when he's out and drunk with his mates. He's got a kid now who has started school so hopefully this is the one thing that can make him grow up and start acting like a man, although I'm not too sure cos my mate rang me up yesterday and said he seen our kid in town with a split nose, said he'd been punched in the head a few times by a local boxer!!

That guy you seen at club will defo be more violent than our kid I reckon. Me brothers more of a taker than a giver lol

i don't know how long Grove Road is in Whetstone, but it really isn't that smart to be printing his address...

Its a matter of public record now, hes being treated like any other person charged with an offence which I personally think is a good thing.

I know the number too :thumbup:lol

Why?

Legally they're allowed to publish his address, to make sure he isn't confused with another Mr. Joe Mattock who may live in Leicester (We all know who he is yes, but still)

Why should he be treated any different to how another 19 year old accused of the same offence would be? I know there's the potential of his home being 'trashed' or whatever, but I wouldn't have thought it would.

Right decision by the Merc, 100%

Spot on. If any other person accused of a crime can have their address printed in the paper, why shouldn't Mattock? Famous or not, he should have the same rights as any other citizen and should not be entitled to any special treatment.

Of course they are legally allowed to print his address.

I just wondered who else lived there and could get brought into this... for the average person on the street it might not be an issue... but this chap has thousands of city fans not liking him and after a few tinnies.. well we all know how stupid city fans can be. Just wouldnt want anyone else who is entirely innocent brought into this, thats all.

If any City fans, with or without a few tinnies in them causes trouble then they wont be innocent.

I met him about 2 weeks ago in Mobius (the 2nd time ive seen him in as many weeks)

Completely ratted (as you probably enjoy at 19, like I did) I was driving that night, I asked him about the court appearance and said that hopefully his solicitor can ''sort it out''. Then he continued to talk about his full arm tatoo and described it as ''a bird puller''

Seems an okish lad, who made a mistake when pissed. This kind of thing happens all the time I guess but if it happens to a footballer it will be in the local press. if found guilty then he should do his time

Because he still lives here I guess.

Birmingham is a much better night out and is closer to west Brom. Doubt you will see him in the city centre again though, unless he's really fu cking thick

You'd of thought 10 grand a week would help him enough.

Sure the inmates at Leicester Prison will like it just as much as the loose women of Leicester though.
