lou Posted 3 September 2009 Posted 3 September 2009 Charged with assaulting 2 men and 2 women on Churchgate at the weekend.... Its not on the net yet so cant post a link - he handed himself in to police on Tuesday and was kept in custody overnight Not good
Shrenchel Posted 3 September 2009 Posted 3 September 2009 What a fooking plank. Hopefully he'll get some time and big terry will show him a good night in the showers.
Guest Posted 3 September 2009 Posted 3 September 2009 What a fooking plank. Hopefully he'll get some time and big terry will show him a good night in the showers. It'll probably be common assault, and he'll get community service.
lou Posted 3 September 2009 Author Posted 3 September 2009 It'll probably be common assault, and he'll get community service. 3 counts of ABH and 1 of common assault. I find it disturbing that 2 of the victims were female. Obviously hes not been found guilty yet so I wont pass judgement until he has his day in court (if it gets that far, of course) Sounds like he went out on the town and probably got some stick for the way he left and couldnt handle it
Shrenchel Posted 3 September 2009 Posted 3 September 2009 It'll probably be common assault, and he'll get community service. Would he have to do it in Leicester if he gets done at the Magistrates? Mattock scraping up dog shit and fag butts in a hi-vis jacket somewhere in Leicester would probably be more gratifying anyway.
Flynny Posted 3 September 2009 Posted 3 September 2009 What a silly shit, what was he doing out in Leicester a couple of weeks after he leaves slightly acrimoniously anyway?
MC Prussian Posted 3 September 2009 Posted 3 September 2009 Former Leicester City star on assault charges Star? He was a really good prospect who could've been a star at Leicester. Now he's just another silly, deluded boy who thinks he's bigger than he is (?). Bloody yellow press. Oh. It's the Mercury.

It would be local to where he's living, I would guess. That's what they do in normal circumstances.

What a prune. As you say, it's not nice that two of the victims were female. That said, I doubt that Mattock acted alone and we've only heard snipets of the story so far.
foxoffderby Posted 3 September 2009 Posted 3 September 2009 what a plank. Who in their right mind comes back to the city who he has just left not on good grounds just weeks earlier and goes out drinking? and doesent expect a backlash weather he's right or wrong? stupid little boy. Stick to West Brom High Street I know a couple of good lap dancing joints there...
StanSP Posted 3 September 2009 Posted 3 September 2009 Tit. What someone said earlier about 2 'victims' being female I agree with. I don't know Mattock personally, but the 4 victims as a whole must have done something to really piss him off. Ah well, he's WBA's criminal now, not ours
breadandcheese Posted 3 September 2009 Posted 3 September 2009 Was it not self-defence a la Gerrard? Let's be honest, none of us know the situation or what caused it. I'll leave the courts to decide that. I do, however, love the comments about him being a plank for going out in Leicester after his move. Why? By all means, he should get grief on the pitch and a bit of light-hearted banter on the street, but there's no need for abuse away from a football setting. That's just wrong in my book.

If he thought that no one was going to abuse him then he was being incredibly naive. That's not saying I agree with it, maybe it is wrong, but there are always going to be some people that do it.

You're right, it is naive, but the onus should be on the idiots thinking it's ok to shout abuse at someone in the street. At the moment, the onus is on him for being a plank, excusing the morons who shout abuse. If they don't like him, they can always ignore him.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 3 September 2009 Posted 3 September 2009 If he was minding his own business and they were goading him then I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for them. If I were to walk into a bar in Church Gate and started telling a stranger what I thought of him I wouldn't be surprised to get a smack in the mouth for my troubles. This bizarre unwritten rule that it's somehow OK to abuse famous people makes no sense to me whatsoever. I do think he's daft going out in Church Gate in the circumstances. Then again, I think going out in Church Gate is daft full stop

In the same way that we don't know he definitely did assault them, we don't know if they did abuse him. If both things turn out to be true, the onus should DEFINITELY be on the piece of scum who knocked about 2 girls rather than on some pissheads who abused a lad who walked out on their club and has come back to go on the lash there.

C-man Posted 3 September 2009 Posted 3 September 2009 Only a matter of time really. The amount of times he got in scraps in/outside Life whilst still at City for being Billy Big Bollocks was ridiculous. I remember the night before Leyton Orient away last season he got taken in to an alley by some massive bloke and came out with a black eye, can't remember if he played or not...
Tommy G Posted 3 September 2009 Posted 3 September 2009 What a silly shit, what was he doing out in Leicester a couple of weeks after he leaves slightly acrimoniously anyway? I saw him out the weekend before aswell. Sounds like a bit of a pisshead My guess is that a few Leicester fans after a few Lemonades threw some abuse at him and he smacked them. To be fair, depending n the person you are, you either take the abuse and walk away or hit them. He obviously did the latter. For a man of his profile and the circumstances of which he left lcfc it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to work out he should stay away from going out in Leicester for a few months at least. But then again I've heard him speak and he doesn't sound as though he will be studying for his Phd anytime soon. Shame really, hes got himself into a bit of a pickle now. Sounds like he had a shaky start at WBA with the fans getting on his back already. he had everything at Leicester and right now I'm sure he feels like he's got nothing. Nevermind!
