Koke Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 He dont look like he could lift a bag of sugar let alone punch 4 people, he is a little tosser who needs a good dry slap for what hes done and he should be made to live in West Bromwich for the rest of his life. He's 5'11 and about 78kg - Not saying that's an indication of how a strong a man is, but he doesn't look weak to me.
JakeShingler Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 Are you pissed already? I think I know what you mean though haha

StanSP Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 I wonder if he's guilty? He handed himself in. Surely that weighs up on the 'guilty' side?
davieG Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 He handed himself in. Surely that weighs up on the 'guilty' side? No, why should it? As I said earlier in the topic he may have been tipped off/advised that there was going to be action on him and went along to give his side of the story. I would also expect that his brief would have advised him to go to the police whether he was guilty or innocent. Lets just stick to the basic principle of law in this country innocent until proven guilty. As I also said it's good job he's not being tried by a jury especially one from Leicester who seem to have already made their judgement. As for me I'm not defending I haven't a clue whether his guilty I'm just defending his right to a fair trial before people decide he's guilty.

Fair enough, and I actually agree with that principle of law. I'm not saying that he is guilty, because obviously I, along with others on here, don't know the full story. I've never spoken to him or met him briefly so I can't pass judgement on anything. Maybe I'm being naive, but I just feel that if you hand yourself in to the police on account of being seen and accused of assaulting 2 women and 2 men, then it's like adding 2+2 together.
Koke Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 I bet it was just a bit of scuffles and handbags. We've all had a few of those at some point in our lives.

It may seem like that and he may have indeed been involved but could actually be the innocent party. It's not beyond the bounds of credibility that they were pissed of with him, attacked him he retaliated, they came off worse he thought nothing of it and went home they became more pissed off and concocted a plan to get back at him. Just another theory in amongst many possible scenarios but that's why they have trials to determine who's guilty of what.

As I posted earlier "helping the police with their enquiries" can be seen as a positive thing, and assuming this ends up in the Crown Court, could be used to his advantage.
Daggers Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 He handed himself in. Surely that weighs up on the 'guilty' side? Priceless
StanSP Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 Priceless Maybe. But whenever I've heard someone hand themselves in, they're usually guilty. And these people rarely come out after 'handing themselves in' as an innocent person. I take in what DavieG and Lisa say, but 'handing yourself in' and 'going to the police to give information' are two different phrases and mean two different things.
crazylegs1984 Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 I still saw Stearman hang about in Leicester after he signed for Wolves. He probably still does for all I know. Mattock might be a cunt, but I'd cut him some slack for this. I might have reacted the same way if some deluded ****** started abusing me cos of footballing reasons. Yeah Stearmen is still out in leicester quite alot he comes into wagamama with his missus alot

It's a question of semantics. One may be reported in the local rag, whilst the other is reported in court. We don't know enough detail to know which one is really correct, so everything so far is speculation. Until the facts come out, we aren't going to know. I just hope that it goes to Nottingham, and not Leicester, as I might be able to wangle some time off to see it.
