New Years Eve isnt as good as it used to be.

It is , its not changed. Make sure you with your closest mates and the Mrs and there is alcohol about and you can not go wrong.

You said distressing and I think you should have said depressing.

What's everybody doing this year?

Off to London myself to catch the fireworks at Embankment. I'm sure a few of you will have done it before, I'm assuming it doesn't die down early there? Not got anything booked accommodation-wise so I'm hoping so...

Yes, that's where I will be too. Goes on late, and London is alive. It's great to be there for New Years Eve. Also I will be downing a fair number of pints, and keeping upright if I can. No point going back to my wifes house, or my partners, as they will both lock me out. However I've can usually find a bed somewhere. Mind you, some are better than others.

I feel the need to be around people on NYE, but this year, the offers of company are somewhat lacking. :(

Feel welcome to come and watch me, dressed as a 'cyber goth in drag'. If I'm still drunk when I get home I'll probably let you all know how ridiculous but still strangely alluring I looked.

Going to a pub or club in London on NYE is stupid. Overpriced and overcrowded.

House party for me then a bit of sleep followed by Fabric on NYD. £8 to get in, 4pm - 4am, weekend off to recover - no brainer.

Newquay is fantastic on NYE, everyone is out in fancy dress (some wonderful ladies too) party/carnival atmosphere and thousands standing in Central square at midnight singing `New York Newquay` ;0) :chant:

Very, very predictable lildave3 post.

You said distressing and I think you should have said depressing.

Why? I said distressing, and I meant distressing.

Surely it's Twenty-Ten?

1910 wasn't One Thousand Nine Hundred and Ten was it?

Hitting up a houseparty in Sheffield with Flynny.

Couldn't care less about it becoming a new year but everyone's well up for it so always a good night.
