Daggers Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Not touching that one. <insert bleedingly-open-goal paedo-gag here>
Finnegan Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 <insert bleedingly-open-goal paedo-gag here> I came so close to adding "The joke, I mean, not your kids" but I hoped it wasn't necessary. poynton blue won't be amused.
Karljohn Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Got a lazy lurcher called Oscar, now 8 years old, me and the missus got him from a dogstrust rescue centre. Oscar has been with us for 7 of his 8 years, and I would be hard pushed to find another dog as cool as him, he's great, a lot of people think that Lurchers need tons of exercise but its short bursts then down for a nap for the best part of 6 hours. Also great with kids and very very loyal the lurcher breed.
morris1234 Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 I have a German Shepherd and i love the breed,so intelligent but also very caring. The only downside is the hair,it gets everywhere-wouldnt swap her though
BoneDog Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Here's our little beaut He doesnae like havin his photo taken, he goes all serious
lou Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Here's our little beaut He doesnae like havin his photo taken, he goes all serious Hes lovely! Mine runs when you get the camera out then refuses to turn her head towards it... hates having her pic taken
BoneDog Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Hes lovely! Mine runs when you get the camera out then refuses to turn her head towards it... hates having her pic taken Similar to him then, he doesn't run but he does the head turn thing! Takes ages to get a good pic. I want a good one of him looking happy but his whole mood changes when he sees camera. I've just found out he's a Collie/German Shepherd cross. I knew he was a Collie cross but didn't know he was half German
MC Prussian Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Recently met a pensioner at the post office who was taking his Pyrenean/Labrador puppy on a walk. All fluffy, like a little sheep. Fell in love instantly. If I wanted a dog, that'd be the one. Either that one or another Dalmatian like my parents used to have.
Fosse Boy Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Black and white cocker spaniel puppy. For a cute soft fuzzy little thing, she's a fucking mentalist!
AoWW Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 It's Babbage. Awwww. On the subject of Red/Irish Setters they're lovely but (Red Setters, in particular) they are seriously dippy and dizzy and, well, thick! (I'm generalising, of course - someone's bound to come online and say theirs was crowned Doggy Brain of Britain 2009!) I'm sure with the right training they'd make a lovely pet but their 'denseness' is something to be aware of as it doesn't make them easy to train and they can be hugely frustrating. Beautiful to look at though.
lildave3 Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Was the springer your choice or the kids'?I've always thought they're sort of ugly/stupid looking, tbh. :\ I didn't know you'd met my kids? , I like it. In other news, my dog is fat. Think I mentioned it.
The Reverend Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 I challenge anyone to find a cuter pic than this one... That was when he was a pup obviously, about 5 years ago.
Daggers Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 I challenge anyone to find a cuter pic than this one... Anything without a floor covered in piss, shit and newspaper would probably win it in my book, tbh.
haraven Posted 29 December 2009 Author Posted 29 December 2009 Anything without a floor covered in piss, shit and newspaper would probably win it in my book, tbh. Harsh, but funny.

Unabomber Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 This is my dog Taz, we got him from the RSPCA a few years ago, he was extremely nervous when we first got him as he had been hit and thrown out as a puppy. He is a great dog though, and much better than getting a breed.
Matt Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 Just watching a programme on BBC1 about Dogs and how they communicate with Humans, Quite interesting so far.

Wycombe Fox Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 I can't stand dogs. When I used to run for the Corries I was always getting chased, especially at Bradgate Park. All I ever got from the owners was "it's OK, he won't hurt you" One Sunday morning at Bradgate I got chased so I stopped, turned around and started to run back at the dog, barking loudly. The owner came running over and said "What the **** are you doing?" I replied "it's OK, I won't hurt him" and ran off.
Matt Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 Eh? Weve got New Tricks - is it a regional thing? Id like to see that! Ok, It might be BBC2 I just walked in from college I know its BBC, I presumed it was BBC1.

Ermm is it just me that thought the thing with the dogs following her eyes to find the treats under the plastic bowls is more a case of the dogs can SMELL the treats?! This Collie is fecking amazing though!
