Jimmy Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 haven't seen a thread if there is 1 then please merge assuming the players currently injured don't make it I'd make a few chances to keep the fringe players sharp Weale Neilson Morrison McGivern PowellAdams King Wellens DyerKermorgant GallagherSubsLogan, O'Neill, Fryatt, Howard, Oakley, N'Guessan, Chambers/Ajdarević/whoeverelseisfit
Corky Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 I think he'll make a few changes. Weale Neilson Morrison McGivern O'Neill N'Guessan King Wellens Adams Kermo Fryatt
Bert Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Weale Neilson Hobbs Morrison McGivern Adams Wellens Oakley Dyer Fryatt Howard
Spiritwalker Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Weale Neilson Morrisson Hobbs McGivern Adams King Wellens Dyer Howard Fryatt/Gallagher I don't think N.P will want to change the defence to much providing Hobbs is fit. Maybe a couple of players will be rested but with the 2 games postponed it is not really necessary and I don't see him leaving out Dyer or Howard because they have only just got back in the team.
Dylan Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Weale Neilson Hobbs* Morrison Berner** Oakley King Wellens Dyer Fryatt Howard */**- If fit, otherwise McGivern If they're both unfit, have to have McGivern in Centre, with ONeill on the left. Cant really change the team after that performance against Sheffield. Only the inexperienced defence looked shakey. Hopefully, we can have a good cup run!
Jimmy Posted 31 December 2009 Author Posted 31 December 2009 why are people wanting to see O'Neill at left back? he showed last game he isn't up to it at this level in that position he might be good enough at RB but a quality winger liker Nathan Dyer will destroy him and his confidence
StanSP Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 why are people wanting to see O'Neill at left back? he showed last game he isn't up to it at this level in that position he might be good enough at RB but a quality winger liker Nathan Dyer will destroy him and his confidence Erm, we don't have much else of a defence?
Jimmy Posted 31 December 2009 Author Posted 31 December 2009 Erm, we don't have much else of a defence? we have a player/coach who could easily fill in in his specialist position for 1 game
Bert Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Nathan Dyer is a left winger. So he wouldn't be attacking O'Neill.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 I'd like to see the odd fringe player: Weale Neilson Morrison Hobbs McGivern Adams King N'Guessan Gallagher Fryatt Howard Subs: Logan, Brown, O'Neill, Dyer, Oakley, Wellens, Kermorgant
Corky Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 we have a player/coach who could easily fill in in his specialist position for 1 game Powell is 40 however. It's likely he'd struggle against pace and a quality player.
bigneville Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 I think Pearson will try and keep momentum, and we'll pretty much see the same team as per last game. Weale Neilson Morrison Hobbs/Brown Berner/McGivern Oakley King Wellens Dyer Howard Fryatt
Father Ted Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Weale Nielson Morrison Hobbs PowellN'Guessan Wellens King DyerFryatt Howard Subs: Logan, O'Neill, Parkes, Oakley, Adams, Kermorgant, Gallagher.

Agreed, keep a winning team. why are people wanting to see O'Neill at left back? he showed last game he isn't up to it at this level in that position he might be good enough at RB but a quality winger liker Nathan Dyer will destroy him and his confidence Agreed, playing O'Neill at left-back again would be suicidal, thankfully it's unlikely Pearson will be forced to do it again like against Sheffield.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Nige Will Play: GK. Weale RB. Morrison CB. Hobbs CB. Brown LB. McGivern RM. Adams CM. Oakley CM. King LM. Dyer ST. Kermorgant ST. Fryatt Presuming Their All Fit.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown McGivern (Berners injured still) Oakley Wellens King Dyer Kermorgant/Fryatt Howard Would rest Fryatt personally. But this could be one of the games Kermo could prove himself.
Father Ted Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Astrit in. I'd rather eat/drink a bucket of diarrhoea.
davieG Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 From the Merc Pearson is in talks with Manchester City about extending the 19-year-old's stay with City and McGivern has been given permission to replace the injured Bruno Berner against Swansea in the FA Cup tomorrow.Berner has failed to shake off a calf injury. McGivern and Waghorn are currently on youth loan deals, which means their parent clubs have a 24-hour recall option.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 From the Merc Shall we have a sweepstake on who told Mancini who the hell McGivern was. Or the more likely option that some Director of Football or one of the coaches just dealt with it, rather than bother t' big man

I loved it there they can have any player they want, I see they went down to the 3rd Division surely the Twatler wasn't still with them then.
