karl rudham Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 Surely a defender is not the main priority, we need flair and creativity & a recognised goal scorer, for me a double loan swoop for Wigan's Jason Koumas & Birmingham's Kevin Phillips would do me just fine. Koumas has already been linked and despite Phillips being an old timer he could still bang goals at Championship level.

A quick attacking fullback or a goal scoring centre midfield player would be nice. With Dickov, it appears to have gone it frees up some wages. Im sure Pearson and Mandy could come up with something for a final push this season. Im not even bothered if its a loan player as long as hes quality. Would love somebody from Arsenal or Man Utd reserves for example. I know Derby for example are hoping to sign a young French striker from Arsenal reserves today. Come on Leicester top brass lets gamble on somebody! Somebody like Cleverley or Davies like we did last season is needed.

To be honest with the sources that are being put in the Alex Bruce thread, it seems dead set that he is the man to be coming in at some point this week. I do not understand how somebody can come along and say right someone is signing on Monday. There is no dead set that all the paper work etc would be done on a certain day so saying that is silly. I cant see us getting in anyone like Mark Davies or Tom Cleverly this season, this is because club are keeping such players as back up due to the fact they could not spend this January. It wont be a big name signing, i'm afraid we are going to have to do with what we have got and maybe some players that come in as cover. that is all.
