Fox92 Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 Really angry after a shocking day out. We were shocking, but so were they, and we came down to their level. I don't think one player really played well for us today. And, Matt Oakley, dropped for next week now surely? We didn't create anything and wasn't really up for it. Brown's free kick that went out of play said it all. Thats all for me, Cardiff is must win I think though now. I hate Sheffield Wednesday and really do hope they go down. They are not even a good side. I think some of mates may give me some grief at college all week now. Changes for Cardiff please...
Karljohn Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 I really hope that Cov start to drop points now, they are the form team in the division and if they sneak into the play offs then they'll have all the luck in the world and go and win it, they won the FA Cup Semi and Final in 87 with own goals. Couldn't make the game today due to work but sounded like we folded when Howard and Kermo came on, but then if you consider with 20 minutes left we have Brown, Hobbs, Oakley, Wellens, Howard and Kermo on the pitch who have weighed in with precisely 2 goals all season, its hardly surprising that we failed to find the net.
maddog Posted 6 March 2010 Author Posted 6 March 2010 It's been changed. I changed it because i thought it was a happy one but i don't think it was, but i changed it because you said it was, but i'm the one with the smiley knowledge
Leicfox Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 Surely it's the Manager Of The Month curse. Back to normal next week.
Abdul Jacktar Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 Bet the ****** will be out in full force. Leicester fans?

ousefox Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 Abysmal performance today. None of our players turned up at all. Waghorn was the only player who seemed to try hard throughout the whole game but wasn't strong enough against their big centre backs. I was very suprised how many headers Dyer managed to win today but that was probably the only thing he did good all day. Brown was back to his worst today after a great game vs Forest. All Wednesday did was hoof it up to their strikers who were always sitting very deep into our half and were able to get the ball from nearly every long ball. Both midfields were virtually non-existent and it was just a matter of who was better in the air. Jermain Johnson was great for them and had Bruno all game and Clarke was very good at holding the ball up and got two decent goals. Overall it was one of the poorest quality games i have seen in a long time and Wednesday definately deserved to win. Oh well, lets get back to winning ways next week vs Cardiff as we are a lot better against better quality opposition where we can use the midfield and get the ball on the floor.
Fox You Forest Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 Just awful, very poor game, one side slightly less poor than the other and we got what we deserved sod all. Just one of those days.
CKB Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 All doom and gloom again..... Ignore the fact we are...5TH yes 5th, play-off ambitions haven't been hit majorly hard today...CALM DOWN PEOPLE! lets see what we get next week?
Jimothy Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 It's probably been said already, but the most disappointing thing was Wednesday weren't great either. They were the better side, but had we played even half as well as we did against Forest we'd have won, but we just never got going. But you can't play well every week, we just have to come back from this and win next week. We deserved nothing today, so I'm not blaming anyone else, but how many fouls did they commit in or around the centre circle to stop getting any momentum what so ever. The ref really needed to clamp down on it, but he let 4 or 5 fouls go before he booked anyone. Had he pulled out the yellow after the second one they might have thought twice about doing it again. But like I said we deserved nothing.
ousefox Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 Does anybody know what the freekick was for that led up to their first? Seemed very soft to me.
Fosse Boy Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 I think some of mates may give me some grief at college all week now. Oh gutted, I wish we'd won now too... :(
Jimothy Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 Does anybody know what the freekick was for that led up to their first? Seemed very soft to me. I really have no idea. Didn't look like anything had happened. No foul, nobody fell over, nobody clashed into each other while running for the ball, nothing happened.
ousefox Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 I really have no idea. Didn't look like anything had happened. No foul, nobody fell over, nobody clashed into each other while running for the ball, nothing happened. That's exactly what I thought. The ref was poor all game, not that it made much difference to the result.

And Pearson played two keepers - neither of whom have managed so much as a single goal between them. He's a fucking amateur, you have it nailed on, and I'm amazed he holds down the manager's job; I reckon he'd be pushed to supersize a large chocolate McShake. How long do we have to tollerate this rank idiocy in our team?
Ozwin Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 Just got back, absolutely frigged. We were diabolical at times. I hope Pearson explains why we decided to play hoof ball with Waghorn up front when Wednesday have two of the biggest blokes in the Championship at the back. I reckon there was a bit of revenge in the air from when we pasted them the other month though and they looked good today. Their right winger was immense I have to say, tore Berner apart all game. Saying that, their two goals were through mistakes that could have been prevented and we had a couple of chances ourselves so it could have been different on another day and if that was their 'best performance of the season' like I've been told by a Wednesday fan then they must have had to put up with some right shockers this year. Ref was shocking too, first half he gave everything to us and second half it was all for them. He couldn't make his mind up and clearly felt intimidated when he came out 2nd half. Apparently it was his first Championship match too, wouldn't be suprised if it's his last, fat bastard.

Shrenchel Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 Second to everything, no invention, shit scared to shoot. Waghorn is a geezer though, never stopped trying. Did people boo them off at the end? Left a couple of minutes early but thought it sounded that way as I knocked off down the road. Might have been Wednesday hammering the ref again.
lcfcadam Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 Rubbish away day - NEVER try to park at Meadowhall and get the tram, it's a fooking nightmare. Hillsborough looks great and holds a decent atmosphere but with facilities that are embarrassingly inadequate for the number of away fans there. I'm sick of supporting a football team that plays completely differently week in week out (great one week, crap the next etc). Cardiff at home will be 0-0. That is all.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 They were up for it we werent. Both their strikers were just to good for Hobbs and Brown who probably had their worst games of the season excluding Forest away. Need to bounce back with a win next week.
Ozwin Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 Just like to give a shoutout to the bird who grabbed my junk as she walked past me today, appreciated.
Wycombe Fox Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 Surprised my Sheff Wednesday-supporting mate (who's also Len Chalmers' son-in-law) hasn't been in touch yet.
ousefox Posted 6 March 2010 Posted 6 March 2010 The stadium was not as good as i thought it would be at all. How it is a world cup stadium over UTD I don't know. There are so many seats with restricted views and it was just my luck that i got stuck behind a massive pillar again.
