Sheffield Wednesday Post-Match

The stadium was not as good as i thought it would be at all. How it is a world cup stadium over UTD I don't know. There are so many seats with restricted views and it was just my luck that i got stuck behind a massive pillar again.

They're not really that many seats with restricted views, why didn't you just move and stand somewhere else?!

Anyway, the world cup bid includes extensive redevelopment.

2 massive pillars restricted the view of nearly everyone in the stand unless you were bang in the middle. Just comparing it to the Walkers where you can see every inch of the pitch from any seat in the stadium.

I'm sick of supporting a football team that plays completely differently week in week out (great one week, crap the next etc).

Thats the joy of being a Leicester fan!

It would be boring if we won all the time! (Just look at the ****** at Old Trafford!)

Fair enought, wouldn't really consider it a restricted view unless your bang behind one of the pillars though. I was towards the edge and didn't really notice it at all, then again, I have had 23 years practice in moving my head very slightly.

Shocking Performance really dropped us in the shit. Hard run in now..

Brown was shit, Jermaine Johnson and Leon Clarke with their power made him look stupid.

Does anyone else think Hillsborough is an odd place? Middle of nowhere and there fans are woeful at home. Also it is really run down and the food is like dog food.

Also got offered a few fights outside the ground. We had good support and if we had scored im sure it would have been a good atmosphere ;)

Must win v Cardiff now

We were crap today, they wanted it more and deserved the win. Waghorn and Dyer had decent shots saved but apart from that there was very little.

Need to bounce back next week.

Awful performance. Jermaine Johnson tore Berner a new arse this afternoon. Brown and Hobbs struggled. The midfield disappointed. There was no support for Waghorn. We were so poor, it's not even worth bitching about how crap the ref was. I am not a happy bunny.

Midfield is the root of all problems. With a 5 man midfield (if you could Gally and Dyer as wingers rather than strikers) you've got to expect better really.

Bilo is heroic, had many an encounter with him. The game, awful. MILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Good to meet you too fella.

Shame the game couldn't have been better. A team better than Wednesday, with all due respect to them, would have come close to repeating Forest's 5-1 raping earlier in the season. Little constructive to say so I shan't try.

Let's just hope it's an off day from which we can recover quickly.

On a personal note, hope to see you at Palace.

Go die.

(With reference to the people who booed the ball boys. Should have posted in the main post match thread seeing as this will eventually go that way....)

I Know what your on about, also in the second half the wednesday keeper told a ballboy not to give gally (i think) the ball back when it went out for a corner. Its funny how the multiball system suddenly disappears when the home team is winning (like today).

This multiball system should be used by all of the clubs or none at all, its not fair and it gets abused like it was today.

I seriously think the football league needs to have a look at this.

We were banned from using the system back in the 2002 season.

Leicester's ball boys have been banned from using the new multi-ball system following claims that someone went round collecting up all the balls if City were winning to waste time (The Sun).

Covscum and Derby moaned about us.

I agree with those who say JJ was great. He did really well considering he's just back from injury. I thought Tommy Miller did well for us too. Full of running and always looked a threat. Nolan's challenge on that one-on-one was crucial. If you had scored there I think it could have been a different story.

Just got back, absolutely frigged.

We were diabolical at times. I hope Pearson explains why we decided to play hoof ball with Waghorn up front when Wednesday have two of the biggest blokes in the Championship at the back. I reckon there was a bit of revenge in the air from when we pasted them the other month though and they looked good today. Their right winger was immense I have to say, tore Berner apart all game. Saying that, their two goals were through mistakes that could have been prevented and we had a couple of chances ourselves so it could have been different on another day and if that was their 'best performance of the season' like I've been told by a Wednesday fan then they must have had to put up with some right shockers this year.

Ref was shocking too, first half he gave everything to us and second half it was all for them. He couldn't make his mind up and clearly felt intimidated when he came out 2nd half. Apparently it was his first Championship match too, wouldn't be suprised if it's his last, fat bastard.

:dunno: That was far from our best performance of the season. Deserved win but we've played a lot better than that.

Oh and the band did my fooking nut in, can't imagine how jarring it must be standing near them. Fvck knows why Wednesday fans put up with that every game.

The band are an embarrassment to the club. I can't ****ing stand them. I agree the ref had a very bad game. He gave (or didn't give) bad decisions to both sides. We could and should have had a penalty. I have no idea why he booked Darren Potter either. That foul was committed by James O'Connor.

Rubbish away day - NEVER try to park at Meadowhall and get the tram, it's a fooking nightmare.

Hillsborough looks great and holds a decent atmosphere but with facilities that are embarrassingly inadequate for the number of away fans there.

I'm sick of supporting a football team that plays completely differently week in week out (great one week, crap the next etc).

Cardiff at home will be 0-0.

That is all.

"Sick of supporting a team that plays completely differently week in week out" This is LEICESTER.If you want predictable football fook off and watch man u.

One of the best aways of the season if we imagine 3pm till 5pm didn't happen. If were honest it's all about consuming more units than the team completes passes.

Two away weekends in Sheffield next season please :-)

Leon Clarke double :(>_< <_<

Some of the other results go our way. Forest score late winner, so Swansea lose aswell.

We remain 5th place. A couple of points behind 4th Swansea. A couple of points ahead of 6th Cardiff.

4 points clear of 7th with game in hand.

Big game next week at home to Cardiff.

Bit of a shame :( meh.

Well done Nige for being 5th but yesterdays performance was absolutely fookin garbage! Wayne Brown's passin was a joke and the injury to Weale happened cos Berner couldn't even head the ball back to him straight, making him stretch to clear it for a corner! Waste of time and money yesterday! Wankers

the most disappointing thing for me, apart from the return to an ineffective non-supporting midfield (how many times did we hear 'passes back to brown' - no wonder his distribution suffers!) was how poor the choice of substitutions was.

i feel sorry for kermo, he must be going up the wall, what was the point of playing him (and howard, i guess) with out improving the service, no wonder hios confidence is so low, surely he only np only needed to bring on one of the big men and adding solano or adams to try to get the ball forward, and then to add to the chaos by dropping dyer to left back seems completely bewildering

as for howard, well, i've been outspoken on his demise as a player since the start of the season, but based on what was commented upon, he just gave away fouls and headed into nowhere, even the bum boys on RL who usually worship him were saying how his type of play just disrupts the flow of the game.

ah well, only two hours of my life i'll never get back

Agree with you about bringing on just one big man and then one of Solano, Adams or N'Guessan to help get the ball to them. Seemed pointless bringing them both on. Sometimes it's not about loading the front line with as many players as you can, you still need the players to give them the service. With Dyer at left back and Gallagher off the pitch we had nobody out wide even trying to get the ball into the box for the front two.

On putting Dyer to left back, it was the right thing to do. Jemal Johnson was ripping Berner to shreads all afternoon and we needed the extra pace back there to cope with him.

Pearson was hindered by Weale's injury. Only meant he had two subs and we were chasing the game. Throw on some height and presence and see what happens. Unfortunately it didn't work.

If he'd had all three available I'm sure Adams or N'Guessan would've been on as well.

Posted

I'd like to know why N'Guessan wasnt brought on. We needed someone to run at people with some physical presence as Gallagher was doing nothing down that side. Thought it was pretty stupid to bring on Kermorgant and Howard as well, with no one actually looking to put crosses in for them.
