Jay Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 We needed fighters, people 100% committed to the cause. From Vaughan's feeble efforts in his only substitute appearance so far, I'd rather we sticked with the likes of Waghorn, who I reckon is a better player regardless. you mean the feeble substitute appearance where he tweaked his hamstring about 5mins after coming on and couldn't run properly?
dandannieldanok Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 you mean the feeble substitute appearance where he tweaked his hamstring about 5mins after coming on and couldn't run properly? If that was the case he would have been subbed off, so I don't buy that for one minute. If you think it is true, then the last thing we need is constantly injured passengers that can't play properly.
atw88 Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 el oh el Its kind of perfectly timed for us really, playing all the playoff teams around us within a week.

sdb Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Weale Solano - Hobbbs - Morrison - Berner/Powell... King - Spearing - Wellens Gally ------------------------------------Dyer Waghorn
lildave3 Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Chris Burke is a cunt. Sadly, he's a fairly decent player.
Mee Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Weale Solano Hobbs Morrison Berner (If he is fit) Spearing King Wellens Dyer Gallagher / N'guessan Waghorn
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 If Oakley plays after that shit performance I will be pissed off. Weale Solano Morrison Hobbs Berner N'Guessan Wellens King Dyer Howard Waghorn or maybe 4-3-3 with Spearing instead of Howard, but I'd like to see Steve start, just think Waghorn sometimes needs help up top.
dogadug Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Unless I'm very much mistaken, we would have played you by now had you lot learned how to use the undersoil heating. We didn't pick it, it was forced on us by your ineptitude. Maybe the game against Cardiff midweek should get called off, NP has a bad back
MC Prussian Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Weale Berner Hobbs Morrison Solano Dyer King Wellens N'Guessan Waghorn Gallagher Subs: Logan, Powell, Brown, Adams, Spearing, Kermorgant, Vaughan
maddog Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 all the line ups without Oakley in the squad. The stuff of dreams.

Guest Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Couldn't you have just posted this in the 'team for Cardiff' thread.? Agreed.
SMX11 Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 GK: Weale DR: Solano DC: Morrison DC: Hobbs DL: McGivern MC: King MC: Spearing MC: Wellens WR: Gally WL: Dyer/ N'Guessan ST: Waggy/ Vaughan We need pace throughout the team, we just look to slow when moving the ball around the pitch for my liking. My Ideal backline would be Morrison at RB and Bruce/Tunch in DC alongside Hobbs with Berner at LB.
The Doctor Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 You've picked the wrong time to come and play us, hah. Chris Burke > everyone is this the same chris burke who, when we beat you a fortnight ago, spent the entire match bitching to the ref, pissing about with that farce that was the throw in, collapsing when ever anyone touched him and generally being completely ineffective?
Sparky Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Weale Solano Hobbs © Morrison Powell Gallagher King Wellens Dyer Howard Waghorn
Dan Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Weale Solano Hobbs© Morrison Berner Spearing King Wellens N'guessan Waghorn Dyer Thoughts? This team exactly.
flanimal Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 This team exactly. Agree. But is there enough creativity without Gallagher? Counter attack is likely our best way to score, so the pace of N'Guessan, Dyer and Waghorn is the way.

Sorry but this long ball football is getting absolutely ridiculous, I like long ball when it works, but it doesn't for us when it's hoofed up to Waghorn. N'Guessan is a physical presence, and he's skillful, I can't believe how little playing time he's had when he surely, surely has our best goals per minute ratio.
taffyfox Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 4-2-3-1 Weale RB - Solano CB- Morrison CB- Hobbs LB- Berner (Powell if Bruno not fit) DCM - King DCM - Wellens ARM - N'GUESSON ACM - GALLAGHER ALM - DYER CF - WAGHORN Thoughts.........
milan_foxes Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 ----------------------Weale -----------Solano Hobbs Morrison ----N'Guessan King Spearing Wellens Dyer --------------Waghorn Gallagher Thoughts about 5-man in middle? Maybe put one of the centre mids into defensive mid.
the buckwheat Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Weale Solano Morrison Hobbs Berner / Powell King Wellens N'Guessan Kermorgant Gallagher Waghorn
Bugg Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Solano. I think that the reason that N'Guessan isn't played in as many games is because: 1) Although he is skillful, he can be extremely lazy and doesn't track back as much as he should and 2)He is very hit and miss and only looks like playing when he is interested.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Weale Solano Morrison Hobbs Berner King Wellens Spearing N'Guessan Waghorn Dyer Having written that, I'd be surprised if it's not been done several times in this thread already. Seems obvious.
