Karljohn Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 From today's top quality read.....the Daily Star BURNLEY are ready to move for Nigel Pearson – if Brian Laws fails in his survival mission. Leicester boss Pearson is facing an uncertain future at the Walkers Stadium and the Turf Moor club are preparing to pounce. Pearson is running out of patience with chairman Milan Mandaric as contract negotiations continue to drag. The Foxes boss, 46, has been promised a new deal as a reward for leading Leicester to the Championship play-offs but is still yet to sign. And Burnley will target Pearson this summer if Laws cannot prevent relegation back to the Championship. The Clarets will only have to pay £300,000 in compensation to prise Pearson away from Leicester.

And why is Pearsons future here uncertain Why would he go to a shitty club like Burnley Why do journalists get paid to write such BS
ScouseFox Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 The Foxes boss, 46, has been promised a new deal as a reward for leading Leicester to the Championship play-offs but is still yet to sign. Did I miss something, are we in the play offs already?
Asha Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Did I miss something, are we in the play offs already? We're pretty damn likely though aren't we? And even if we screw up and finish 7th, Pearson still deserves a contract.
Fox You Forest Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Probably his agent trying to get a better deal here, don't blame him. Burnley.
nuneatonfox Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Well Burnley could be playing us next season in the championship or the premiership. So Pearson isn't gaining anything, If Pearson should leave I hope not. If he should leave Leicester should go for Neil Warnock or Phil Brown. THERE'S ONLY ONE PEARSON.
Wycombe Fox Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 ****ing Burnley??? The only place I've seen on Homes Under The Hammer where a 4-bed detached house sold for 16p.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 What a joke... there's not a cat in hells chance of Pearson leaving us for a dump like Burnley!
Ashley Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Typical Jurno scum who write anything to fill the papers, w#nkers!

Surely you're having a laugh... Neil Warnock I can understand as he's a good manager albeit being a complete twat on the side... but Brown?
lavrentis Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Brian Laws what an uninspired appointment. Pearson won't budge as he'll rather be managing in the Premier League.
AyewJoking Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Phil Brown or Neil Warnock? Surely you're having a laugh... Neil Warnock I can understand as he's a good manager albeit being a complete twat on the side... but Brown? What do you have against Brown? Did an excellent job in getting a club like Hull into the premier league and kept them up too. Not his fault if he couldnt persuade players to play for the sh*thole.
Legend_in_blue Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 What a waste of ink. Burnley are a total joke and should be playing in a league more at their level - league 2 would flatter them.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 They should just send this song to Burnley, whether the story is true or false
dandannieldanok Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 What do you have against Brown? Did an excellent job in getting a club like Hull into the premier league and kept them up too. Not his fault if he couldnt persuade players to play for the sh*thole. Also did a shite job at Derby. Anyway the bloke's a **** of the highest order, I wouldn't want him here even if he'd won the Champions League with Hull.
Tony Pine Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 What do you have against Brown? Did an excellent job in getting a club like Hull into the premier league and kept them up too. Not his fault if he couldnt persuade players to play for the sh*thole. he's the polar opposite of pearson

Guest Bilo Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 They're suggesting he'll only go if Burnley go down. Slightly odd. Surely he'd only want to go if they stay up, but even then Laws would keep his job. If they come down it's at best a sideways move, and more likely a backwards one as Burnley had been mediocre in the Championship for years before promotion. Don't all rush down the bookies at once will you?
Dylan Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 I think we've got more chance of being in the Prem next season then Burnley do. They look like certainties to go down. Why would he go there!
