Guest parky0607 Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Heard that forrest are sending a weak side to Blackpool this Saturday ... could potentially knock us out of play offs if we were to mess up?!
LCFC-ARAB Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Can't see them doing this they'll want to go into the play offs on good form
Guest Mee-9 Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Dont worry mate, If you are a swansea fan, I'd be more worried. Win this week and we could have a playoff place secured.
Alexikokopops Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 They could sent Messi there, but with their away form at the moment I wouldn't be expecting anything other than a Blackpool win.
dandannieldanok Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Shouldn't matter, we should only be bothering about ourselves and dispatching a pretty weak Watford side. In fact I hope Forest do play weakened line-ups, so they'll be out of their rhythm for the play-offs. Whether we make the play-offs or not, I hope Forest fuck up in them.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 They've been leaving a few big guns out recently so it wouldn't suprise me...
Shrenchel Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 They could sent Messi there, but with their away form at the moment I wouldn't be expecting anything other than a Blackpool win. Exactly, they've been shit on the road anyway. Better to send some horny young pups out there than some joker treating it as a training match for his big day out at Wembley.
Guest Bilo Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 With their away form of late, any Forest team not playing at the City Ground is a weak team. Seriously though, they'll want to go into the play-offs with some form. They won't want to lose to Blackpool again because they're the team most likely to depose Swansea from the play-offs and meet Forest. I doubt they'd fancy meeting a team that's done the double over them in the play-offs, especially given their mental frailty in them before. From our point of view, why should we rely on other teams to do our job for us? Three more wins and we're in the play-offs regardless. It's in our hands.
Corky Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Heard that forrest are sending a weak side to Blackpool this Saturday ... could potentially knock us out of play offs if we were to mess up?! Let's hope we don't, then it doesn't matter if Forest send the Under-9s to Blackpool
Daggers Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Heard that forrest are sending a weak side to Blackpool this Saturday ... could potentially knock us out of play offs if we were to mess up?! They tuk arrr jurbs!
bigneville Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 They'd be crazy if they did. They need to find some away momentum to help them through the play-offs. They should be using every oppurtinuty to get that horrible away record off their back. It's all in our hands, so it doesnt bother me what team they send. I'd quite happily let them send the reserves there, and get stuffed, aslong as we beat Watford, i'll be happy.
unreachable Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Until Forest are mathematically certain of 3rd or 4th place I don't think they'll field a weakened side against Blackpool. They will want to make sure that they get home advantage in the second leg of the Play-Off Semi Finals by not dropping into 5th place. At least that's what I'm hoping!
Benji Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Wouldn't be surprised considering the state of their pitch and not wanting to lose key players before the playoffs
Kilworthfox Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Heard that forrest are sending a weak side to Blackpool this Saturday ... could potentially knock us out of play offs if we were to mess up?! So what, 1st rule is take care of your own business, we are in position 2 make the playoffs, always have been so forget this crap & get the points
leftsideoverhere Posted 15 April 2010 Posted 15 April 2010 Heard that forrest are sending a weak side to Blackpool this Saturday ... could potentially knock us out of play offs if we were to mess up?! How? Blackpool are four points behind us. Even if Forest sent a team of five-year-olds up there, there'd still only be three points to play for. Forest's away form is shit at the moment, so they might well experiment with a shuffled pack for an away game that doesn't matter much to them and can be used as preparation for a crucial away playoff semifinal (possibly at the Walkers). Doesn't mean it's a "weak side", does it? Besides, just as with transfer "rumours" I'd tend to be sceptical about anything anyone might have "heard". Forest fans would love it if we all shat ourselves with outrage about them "sending a weak side to Blackpool".
Fosse Fox Posted 15 April 2010 Posted 15 April 2010 Shouldn't matter, we should only be bothering about ourselves and dispatching a pretty weak Watford side. In fact I hope Forest do play weakened line-ups, so they'll be out of their rhythm for the play-offs. Whether we make the play-offs or not, I hope Forest fuck up in them. And exactly how are those players who are rested 'out of their rhythm?' This is the backward thinking of the 1970's. Why do all the big clubs increasingly rotate particualrly when they face fixture congestion and/or at the end of the season? The idea expressed by other posters that any losses suffered by Forest's second stringers (assuming that they are selected) in the run in would somehow knock the confidence of the regulars in the play offs is even more absurd. .

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 15 April 2010 Posted 15 April 2010 On the other hand I hear rumours from a Preston fan that I know that their boss Darren Ferguson is deciding to field reserve and youth team players in their last three matches. This chap also reckons it is to do with the fact that if a weakened Preston team loses to Leicester it will harm their greatest rivals - Blackpool - a chance of a playoff spot.
iancognito Posted 15 April 2010 Posted 15 April 2010 Doesn't really matter if Forest put their 79 European Cup winners out (they won it y'know, ask one of their fans, they'll tell you all about it) we're four clear and it's in our hands.
AyewJoking Posted 15 April 2010 Posted 15 April 2010 If Forest are fielding a weakened team for the Blackpool game then they've done Pearson's team talk for him.
Daggers Posted 15 April 2010 Posted 15 April 2010 I've heard from a source that they are only sending a weak team in order to match their away support.

RedHux Posted 15 April 2010 Posted 15 April 2010 First things first, we don't have a reserve team! Also, as I've mentioned elsewhere, our first choice has been getting a pasting away from home anyway so why not change things about? Most managers would. The worst that can happen is exactly the same that's been happening anyway. I concur with the posters who've said that you should worry about your games and rest will sort itself out.
