Leicfox Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 Got back about 45mins ago to Blackpool. 1st half was even, a midfield battle. 2nd half - We dominated, and could of scored a few more with better finishing. Brilliant day. Atmosphere was great once we scored, and after the final whistle. Great finish by Kingy. Welldone lads Play-offs here we come.
Spiritwalker Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 Well done Nigel and the lads, whatever happens from here this has been a fantastic season. On a negative note why are the club reopening the membership sceme? Surely they are not that skint. Why should those who paid for membership at the start of the season have the same priority as those who join at the end of the season just to secure a ticket ?
CKB Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 So happy with my club at the moment, i'm gonna need something nerve based for the play-offs tho! i'm a total mess when it comes to play-off matches
Dobos Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 I'm so happy for the boys!! Hard season but Nige has pulled them together! Much respect! Onto the Playoffs! COME ON LEICESTER!!!
lavrentis Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 Just got back got abit excited at the end. Great result. COME ON LEICESTER!!!
flanimal Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 Since it's mathematically possible to get into 4th place I suppose dates and venues can't be fixed. To finish above Cardiff we would have to overhaul the goals difference of 7 which for practical purposes is rather remote. Of course, it's still possible we face Forest if they slip to 4th place....... We'd have to beat Middlesbrough 4-0, and Cardiff would have to lose to Derby 3-0, or something like that. Pretty unlikely. Nottingham Forest could drops points S****horpe, they're doing quite well last two games.
Joe. Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 Absolutely buzzing tonight, very relieved to have it all sorted on the day rather than seeing it go down to the wire. Whatever happens now it will have been a superb season, but seeing as we're here we might as well make the most of it.... Bring it on, can't wait.
Fosse Boy Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 FAO anyone who was at the game - how did Waggy play? Heard (albeit from second hand reports of Stringer's commentary) that he had a bit of a shocker? Hoping he bags himself a goal on Sunday to give him a confidence boost before the playoffs if that was the case...

Forest are now guaranteed a home second leg whether they finish 3rd or 4th. NP said on Radio Leicester that there would be changes. I'll be annoyed with NP if he doesn't rest our key players and field the players we're not too keen on. Such a relief to dream ahead!
Webbo Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 Just got back. Great day out, Waghorn did miss a sitter tbf we could of scored 3/4.At the end Spearing chucked his shirt into the crowd and guess who caught it.

Mee Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 Awesome weather. Awesome atmosphere. Awesome result. Awesome day out. Nice little banter on coach 5 also We are well on our way to wembley now! Well done lads!
Guest Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 Chuffed to bits; to think of how low I felt that afternoon at Stoke, to last season and now this, to say we're on a rollercoaster is an understatement. Thought we were never going to score, we had the ball in the back of the net twice, but the ref appeared to be making the rules up as he went along. When we did score, I had to triple check he wasn't going to disallow that one too!!
Karljohn Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 Great day out, Preston never looked like scoring. Brilliant season, saw Vaughan on the way out sat in the passenger seat of a big motor, exchanged thumbs up etc he looked really pleased to be part of whats happening. Well done NP, players, and the rest of the coaching team. Anyone want to speculate on an allocation for Cardiff or Forest away leg? got an ST but not going to be P2 until next season, don't think there will be much left by the time P3 sale comes around.
Webbo Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 Stringer and Sinclair (and somebody sitting in the back) waved at us as they overtook us on the motorway. I was doing 80mph at the time If anyone was listening to Imran from Leicester on 606 on the way back he was ringing from my car. I'm just full of celebrity anecdotes today.

Forest will probably give us the full 4k I read somewhere Cardiff allow a maximum of 1,800 tickets for away fans, and I can't see them releasing more, so it'll be a tight squeeze or shit loads.
dpjfox Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 good solid performance Weale never troubled, defence excellent King took goal well weshould have won by more excellent away support
