There won't be that many new season ticket holders for next season anyway, who weren't STH this season. YET.

I would guess a very maximum of 2000, probably a lot less.

Fucking gutted i'm not there!

Sounded great, sounded like we rode our luck in the first half but being clincal with the chances we had only for the referee to have ruled them out for pathetic reasons (If the commentry was correct in what they were describing), sounded much better and deserved the win the second half.

Well done City, Obviously if we go out of the playoff i'll be gutted, i'll probably slag someone/something off but even if we're not successful in the playoffs you've got to be happy with the season, even if we didn't actually make the playoffs you'd have to be happy with the season.

The jobs not over though and we still have 4 absoloutly huge games to go.

Obviously that fateful day when we got relegated to League One for the first time in our history I wouldn't have agreed with these comments but soon after dust settle about relegation I said relegation would be a good thing, we could dust ourselves down, take a good look at ourselves, rebuild, get confidence up and it'd be a case of take a step backwards to go forwards.

Well Done City, The last 2 seasons we can all be proud to be Leicester City fans.

now is the time for DavieG to remind us of the statistic about LCFC and 2 leg finals

Can anyone give me a bit of info about the play-offs? Does anyone know if our first leg will be on the 8th or 9th? Are the semi finals are the teams' home grounds then only the final at wembley?

Great win, great season no matter what might happen.

I was frantically trying to get the scores on phone during the Posh match and was ecstatic when King scored. Blackpool were always going to win, we had to win and we did. Brilliant.

My first ever taste of playoffs.

...what's the situation wrt TV coverage of the Play-Offs - will they be on the BBC?

3 seasons ago it was Nils Eric Johansson scoring at Deepdale to keep us in the Championship. This time it's Andy King scoring to fire us into the play-ofs. Superb turnaround, via League One. Lovely stuff.

Absolutely chuffed to bits. Massive congratulations to Nige, his staff and the playing squad. What an achievement.

Be nice to be able to relax next weekend for a change!

Mad Mandys 3 year plan not looking quite so crackpot now. :D

What all 30,000 of us, hmm it'll have to be Wembley.

So proud. With a growing injury list, makeshift midfield and so much pressure on them today, the lads delivered an excellent performance, great value for the win.

The nerves certainly got to the crowd around us. It seemed like a critics convention listening to the people stood nearby. I really don't understand people who can be so critical of young players like Spearing and N'Guessan, even when their team are acheiving such great things. What will they be like if we do get promoted and have a season scrapping for 17th place?

But that aside it was a fantastic afternoon. Excellent commitment from everyone on the pitch, and after a nervy first half we upped our tempo in the second, and gave Preston very little.

It wasn't pretty, but if the Gally long-distance goal had counted or the ref hadn't penalised James Vaughan for watching the Preston goalkeeper collide with a backtracking centreback then it would have looked much more comfortable.

The season has exceeded my expectations, but I see no reason now why we can't go all the way. The playoffs may be a lottery, but we're going in to them with good form and a great spirit. NP's Leicester, calm, professional, supremely assured, are showing an excellent "get the job done" approach, just like this time last year. I now believe they are capable of getting the same outcome.

Since it's mathematically possible to get into 4th place I suppose dates and venues can't be fixed. To finish above Cardiff we would have to overhaul the goals difference of 7 which for practical purposes is rather remote.

Of course, it's still possible we face Forest if they slip to 4th place.......
