Jon25747 Posted 3 May 2010 Posted 3 May 2010 I have heard a rumour that they are considering it. Id certainly go if they did! What do people think? Id presume they would get a big blow up screen and projector?
Karljohn Posted 3 May 2010 Posted 3 May 2010 Yeah it was mentioned on the OS that it was being considered, will be in the great hall, haven't been to a "beamback" since marcus bent scored at anfield then I missed the goal as I went for a piss. Am P3 so its looking like my best option, failing that sitting in a pub in Atherstone with a bunch of Villa fans watching it on Sky.
Matt Posted 3 May 2010 Posted 3 May 2010 Hmmmm i'd be tempted by this, I don't think going to Cardiff is a realistic option, Wednesdays are my college night, but fuck college this is more important (And i've almost completed my course anyway just the exam to pass - so if I ask my tutor for some revision to take home i'll be ok) I was planning to watch it at home, never been to a beamback in the past what's the atmosphere like at them? Weirdly i'd imagine it to be better than a game at the Walkers if that makes sense - In a sense of if/when we score.
Ozwin Posted 3 May 2010 Posted 3 May 2010 Amazing, Id be up for this. They should show it on that massive screen in town if they don't, that'd be wicked.
Rich Fox Posted 3 May 2010 Posted 3 May 2010 Yeah it was mentioned on the OS that it was being considered, will be in the great hall, haven't been to a "beamback" since marcus bent scored at anfield then I missed the goal as I went for a piss. Am P3 so its looking like my best option, failing that sitting in a pub in Atherstone with a bunch of Villa fans watching it on Sky. Thats why I never watch games in Atherstone dont do it they will do your head in trust me, I would try and go to the beam back as I dont think I will get cardiff away tickets.
john_lcfc Posted 3 May 2010 Posted 3 May 2010 same night as Europa League Final so i guess those living out of Leicestershire would need to check which is being shown?/
lcfc"weasel" Posted 3 May 2010 Posted 3 May 2010 I went to the Charlton beamback before, i remember when we scored the last goal everybody charging towards the screen, atmosphere during the actual game wasn't very good but for that moment it felt like something special.
ramboacdc Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 i cant remember a "beamback" since the filbert street days.
hairy Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 same night as Europa League Final so i guess those living out of Leicestershire would need to check which is being shown?/ Its on Sky Sports 1according to this
davieG Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 Its on Sky Sports 1according to this I think he meant check which pubs will be showing it
Aeropars Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 Anyone know if its on in 3D? Theres a couple of pubs around leicestershire that have the 3D TV's so i hear.
Karljohn Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 Free entry? Or a rip off? LCFC requested a price structure with ST Holders free but football league rulings state that all beambacks to the great hall incur a £25 charge per person Erm....think it will be a tenner with maybe ST Holders getting in for £7.50 or sommit.
hairy Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 I think he meant check which pubs will be showing it You're right
samjohnson Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 Id definatley consider the beamback... again, last one was the Liverpool one in 2003/04. Although i know someone with an 80 inch screen, HD projector, surround sound cinema system and a laptop... Good times
Karljohn Posted 4 May 2010 Posted 4 May 2010 Was expecting a beamback announcement today on the back of ticket news for the away leg. In the absence of a beamback, can anyone recommend a decent pub in Leicester (or Hinckley) that has a bloody big screen so I don't have to watch it in my hometown that is riddled with villa scum.
iancognito Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 In case anyone missed it the OS said The Club will be considering the screening of the away leg of the semi finals in the Great Hall and Keith Weller Lounges. Details will be announced on LCFC.COM shortly. I'd imagine they're waiting for the away tickets to sell out before making the announcement, though they may as well do it now because there's bugger all chance of them even getting as far as P3s.
Ozwin Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 They should set up a big screen in the middle of the pitch and let the fans congregate in the stands like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-_QxYCw9vE
Karljohn Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 Sent ticket office an email asking about the beamback and the reply was "still being considered, details will be posted on website"
Podge Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 They should set up a big screen in the middle of the pitch and let the fans congregate in the stands like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-_QxYCw9vE With that idea in my mind I looked about on youtube for other examples ( more fun then my dissertation) and found one from rangers and the uefa cup final, It would be awesome if the walkers was like this for the second leg

Foxes1 Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 Has anyone got any info about Beam Back at Walkers stadium on Wednesday showing the cardiff game EG. Ticket, Prices Thanks in Advance Knowing some of the muppets that work behind the scenes at the Club, they will be announcing it Thursday morning if there is going to be a beam back.
Ozwin Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 What's the address to send emails to in regards to LCFC? We should all request a beamback of some sort.
