DJ isnt going to be a Leicester player next season, it's as simple as that. He dosnt like our club, and plays like he's not bothered, not what our squad needs.

I do wonder one thing though, if we'd have got promoted instead of blackpool, would he still want a transfer? Or would he be happier milking money from us for another 3 years.

Dream move to blackpool !!!!!!.....please DJ get a life boy !

Blackpool are all on a hype about there recent events which fair enough, massive achievement for them, but soon reality will kick in when they get panned regualary and they'll be back in the champ and things wont be as rosey for Bpool

Get rid of him!!

I dont think we will get a lot for him, 500k at best but i think the big plus will be to free up his wages, just remember we have been paying half his money plus Clemences wages so Pearson will have a bit more of a chance now these are off the payroll, will help with funding Loan moves thats for sure.

i think he would be decent if he got a run in the side i think he would score goals but he is not as good as fryatt howard or any other striker at the club but given a run in the side he would score goals which is why i would like to keep him for injuries :scarf:

Leicester City striker DJ Campbell's potential move to Blackpool is in doubt.

Initial negotiations between the clubs have revealed City and the Seasiders are miles apart in their valuation of the 28-year-old, who helped Blackpool to reach the Premier League by scoring 11 times in 18 games while on loan from City at the end of last season.

City want a sizeable fee for Campbell, with a source suggesting the initial asking price could be as high as £1.5million.

The source added that the Seasiders are unlikely to pay any big fees for players this summer, despite the financial rewards of promotion, and could even be attempting to persuade City to release Campbell on a free transfer.

Campbell is one of City's highest wage- earners and has another year remaining on his contract, and City boss Nigel Pearson is keen to offload him this summer so he can channel his wages and any transfer fee into new recruits. However, it appears the clubs are a long way off from agreeing any deal.

Other potential buyers are now being sought and Campbell's recent form will certainly attract some.

Campbell joined Blackpool in February for a second loan spell and produced the kind of form that prompted City to pay Birmingham an initial fee of £1.6m for him three years ago, although he seldom produced the same form for City.

His goals, including a hat-trick in the play-off semi-final second leg at Nottingham Forest, propelled the Seasiders to Wembley where they beat City's play-off conquerors Cardiff City to reach the Premier League.

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway said he wanted to keep him, Campbell has stated he wants to stay at Blackpool and Pearson wants to sell him, but initial negotiations have not been as straightforward.

The loan agreement did not include a clause that stated Blackpool had to buy Campbell after promotion, but it did include a clause that meant they had to pay City a bonus.

Meanwhile, reports linking City with Millwall striker Steve Morison again appear wide of the mark.

Morison is said to be a target for a number of clubs, including City and Premier League new boys West Bromwich Albion.

But the 26-year-old would command a fee of more than £1 million and Pearson will not have those finances to spend this summer unless he can offload players such as Campbell.

City are understood to be chasing several targets at the moment and all of them are Bosman free transfers, but no signings are likely until later in the summer.

Never Mind, Someone will buy, hopefully soon!

This is the last chance we have to get any money for him at all.

We need to get rid and if we're holding out to get more money to fund our own transfers, that doesnt fill me with much confidence.

Dont panic!

Mad dog Martin Allen will be the next Manager of Liverpool FC after the septic tanks are informed he likes the squad to do the gardening at his house. DJ will be his first signing after getting £90 mill for Torres from the fat waiter at Inter.

£9.5 mil plus add ons... nailed on!

I'm having the same problem on FM! I can't get rid of him because his wages are too high, when will we be rid of this bellend once and for all?!

Blackpool are taking the P*** if they want him for nothing , he almost single handedly dragged them to the playoffs & destroyed Forest on his own earning them over £1m from the playoff final, let alone the fact that they have hit the jackpot by getting promoted. All this would have been done with them paying a measly fraction of his wages, if they can't do the decent thing & spend £1m of there 90 mill jackpot I would try & sell to anyone else rather than them. It goes to show how highly he must be rated by Blackpool if they want to pay nothing for him after what he did last season bunch of cheapskate chancers.

or perhaps they don't want to take a chance on someone with a serious criminal charge pending

With Pearson leaving his future here is assured!

And when he puts 4 past Hull next season we'll be on our way to the Prem!

*wakes up*
