davieG Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 Seems my post was took the wrong way, oh well. The flag looks awesome, and I hope for the time and effort arab's put into this, it all works out. Well it'll be a bit of a bugger if they say no flags or limit the size of them. I'm convinced Barclay will not budge on allowing standing. The danger is they'll do what they did for N block, sound all accommodating and as soon as someone dares to stand for anything other than a goal Barclay and his B&Q boys will be in there with their fork lift arms heaving people out. Pessimistic I know but history makes one feel like that. Anyway all the best and I look forward to seeing it from the Kop/West corner.
Ozwin Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 Ashley, I want your football shirt templates or Photoshop!
Alexikokopops Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 The flag looks awesome, and I hope for the time and effort arab's put into this, it all works out. I'm a bit concerned about how many arms Arab's got, he seems to have about 20 flags so far! Need to get round to joining the forum.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 Are the club 100% on this? These flags are great and it would be a travesty if they came down on this like a tonne of bricks. Love that tifo flag We have a meeting with the club 10am monday morning even if they so no to our flags then we wont stop till they allow it other clubs are allowed them so why wouldnt leicester fans? it'll be easier for them to say and let us get on with it, instead of having us chasing them up everyday we'll hopefully annoy them into letting us but we wont know till monday

Hopefully we will attract people away from L1 and i'm sure barclay would prefer people standing in the kop than next to the away fans it would eventually lower policing and stewarding costs, if we grow big enough hopefully he'll see that
LCFC-ARAB Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 Polo shirt & Tracksuit top. They look amazing mate!!!! cheers!

People always have the misconception that Ultras enjoy a good scrap, and you need to make sure that they know that couldn't be further from the truth. It's probably worth stressing that while your aim is to create an atmosphere, it's not meant to be a threatening one, which is why you don't want to stand near the away fans. It's probably worth citing examples where ultra groups and clubs have worked together with great success, especially ones in England and Scotland. I'm guessing you know all this already, I'm just babbling away. The main barrier I can see is Kev Barclay worrying about all the standing up that's inherently involved with flag waving and constant singing, and putting a stop to it based on that. Just had a thought. If you have a word with Fez, and the club, about the massive flag, it could be a good thing to put behind everyone at the back of the stand.
1964FOX Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 On the point about there being a few 'main' lads in the group I would suggest that they should be labelled as the main 'organisers' as, in my opinion, this group is all about collectivety and equality. Success will be determined by thorough organisation and a large chunk by convincing the club that flag poles are safe.
Corky Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 Well I hope it goes well for you lads and this group becomes successful.

purpleronnie Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 I still cant get my head around a club not letting fans stand. Its bizarre.

Fosse Boy Posted 20 July 2010 Author Posted 20 July 2010 I prefer the word organiser to. Sounds less Danny Dyer-ish than "main/top boys". And with that single statement my lifelong dream, built up by Bravo +1 and Nuts magazine, of ever being a "top lad" dies. Cheers.

Ilkeston_Fox Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 Our group banner It's a lot bigger than i thought! That sir, looks amazing!
FoxyPV Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 Our group banner It's a lot bigger than i thought! Hats off. Looks spectacular!
jonthefox Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 Hats off. Looks spectacular! Im actually quite impressed by that. whats the word on the meeting with the club then?.
Guest Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 We have our meeting set in stone with the club now, I am going to propose they open a section of the "kop" just for us.. Don't want to piss on your bonfire, but it might be too late for that; the Kop has a fair few STHs and my experience with the FCC is that people won't want to be moved, and if they're like that, they won't want a group of loud flag-wavers obscuring their view. Good luck though.

Ozwin Posted 20 July 2010 Posted 20 July 2010 Our group banner It's a lot bigger than i thought! That is fantastic. Will it be held in front of the group as we walk down to the ground?
