Fosse Boys - Leicester City Ultras

I'll tell you why.

If someone is so small minded to be racist to someone then who's to say what they would do to you if a confrontation occurred. If you confront someone who is being racist to a randomer in the street, yu end up in a scuffle and they stab you?

Yeh you die a hero, but then wouldn't people, like your family ask questions why you got involved in the first place? Report it by all means. but that makes me a racist does it?

Jesus wept lol

So racism wins? We'd all be speaking German now if we thought like that. By standing up to it we'll quell any possibility of it infecting our group and tarnishing our reputation.

People don't do things like this to be a hero.

If you don't fight for what you believe in then you won't fight for anything in your life.

Maybe some people would rather die on their feet...

Anyway, back to your Fosse Stuff....

lol what? Are they running a charity or supporting a footy team?

+1

The term 'ultra' should not be included in the name if so. Genuinely thought this was going to be decent. Huge lol @ getting club stewards to remove 'meat heads' etc.

Over time, I guess....

i don't think the ultra movement in england will ever be quite the same as it is other countries - i'm sure if you look at the groups in, say, scandinavia, they have a different approach to places like italy or turkey.

i would hate to think that english ultra groups would just try to be a carbon copy of any other group of ultra's - we have our own culture and history to draw from and also, with our dodgier past, to distance ourselves from.

i'm sure the 'miniklanen' is not especially ultra as they are all still at junior school, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't work or shouldn't be applauded.

hopefully, one day the 'fosse boys' will just be a collective term for a kop full of singing bouncing fans, rather than some niche 'ultra' group.

I'm with Arab on this I would challenge racism it is not acceptable in any form. ALso surely people realise comments made on here are probably not what would happen in reality. But if necessary sometimes firm action is required.

And since my last post, my point has been proven yet again, laughable really.

Considering LCFC-Arab is quite evidently of a different race, its pretty clear that the FB won't be tolerating racism in their group at all, they might have racist banter between themselves but probably as far as that (or maybe not, who knows..).

Would also like to make a point about the example given of someone nicking their flag, that again proves what I was on about, why does the fact the person who'd nick their flag get totally ignored?

Paul the Octopus is English, and I doubt i'd want to eat him.

I think Paul the Octopus has proved his worth now.

Think we can trust him with the big issues.

I really can't believe this thread is STILL going!

I think less talk and more 'wait and see' is what the Ultras need.

Arab sounds like a sound bloke, a really good organiser but speaking as one who has worked in PR - please get someone else to comment/argue with people on here. You sound like your talents don't lie in this field and you can do more harm than good with your passionate but ill thought responses (albeit well meaning). Don't take this the wrong way - look at the feathers our new Prime Minister has ruffled around the world with his brash comments of late.

I hope my honesty doesn't offend - I think an Ultra's group is a breath of fresh air and I for one support them whole-heartedly!

Have the Fosse Boys been infiltrated by racists? If not, I think people are getting very excited about a hypothetical situation. What would the Fosse Boys do if attacked by a midget or chased by a bear? I'd worry about that when it happens.

Incidentally, I don't think massive wankers will be drawn to the Fosse Boys anyway, because of where they're planning on locating themselves in the stadium, and I don't think the massive wankers will be able to tear themselves away from L1. If you can't spend the game shouting abuse at a load of people that seem exactly the same as you in every single way, then what's the point in turning up? The Fosse Boys seem to have made themselves pretty clear that this isn't what they're about

Most sensible post for ages on this thread, thanks.

The group has done as much as can be reasonably expected to dissuade wankers from joining, including the location as you've alluded to and the fact that the words 'racists are not welcome' are on the group description before you even click Join on the Facebook group, Fosse Boys forum and have been repeated numerous times on this thread. We've been at great pains to ensure idiots don't join and are prepared to work with the club to get rid of them if they do, as has already been stated in communications with the club.

We're about supporting the team, not yelling at lads like us who happen to come from a different town and support a different team.

I agree with you!!!

i am not the spokesperson of the group! and i really am not good with words, what i say may do harm to the group, but only because every post is being picked apart word for word!

i answer questions for people!

Not really sure how many more times this discussion is going to go round in circles. So far most people agree on the following:

1) the atmosphere at Walkers Stadium is shit - and it's not like is was in the old days at Filbo

2) some like minded individuals have got together to try and make a noise and some colourful displays

3) as long as this is not restricting anyones view of the match (which they say it won't) then this should help improve point 1 - to everybody's benefit - even those who do not want to jump/sing/wave flags etc

4) Fosse Boys had a relatively successful first outing, despite some bad press from RL and a bit of ill thought out PR on here (the blanked out faces on the photo)

5) They do not appear to be racists or want to go round smashing peoples heads in and stealing candy floss from children

6) They also appear to be learning early lessons about not trying to antagonise people, the media and the club

The biggest worry really is that it will only take one idiot to misbehave or act like a complete dick and everyone will come down on them like a tonne of shit and insist that they are just a bunch of hell raising thugs after all....but this is an issue for their own group to manage IF and when it were to happen.

I also fail to see how the man who wants to go to a game and not shout and sing is going to have a negative experience because some other lads want to make a noise? It''s a football ground for christs sake - they did use to be quite noisy and boisterous places. And I'm not convinced how many people do want to go to the match and not at least witness boisterous/rowdy/raucous behavior, even if they do not wish to directly participate in it.

I've been to dozens of games where the crowd offer much more enertainment than the actual match.

I'm glad you are taking it well... but if your posts are being picked apart and you know they are doing more harm than good, DON'T get drawn into posting! I'd hate to see such a fine group with a different outlook get kicked aside by some of the eternal pessimists on here.

I don't get to many games these days, due to economic pressures shall we say, but if I do pitch up I shall certainly buy you a prematch pint and sing with you.

Good luck!

boo, i'd hate to think you weren't going to post in this thread because some people just want to find fault - it's exactly because of your enthusiasm that i've been drawn in.

it seems like the doubting thomases are dwindling, a few good showings and they'll realise that no one is imterested and their points are even less valid and even more futile.

keep provding the updates L-A.

and besides, we're only a bit short of 100 pages now :D

Does that make the Fosse Boys bigger than Edgar Davids?

I like L-A too, but by his own admission he only makes things worse when he rises to the bait of others. Better he leaves this thread (though please not the forum!) and lets others more skilled in dealing with the WUMs do their thing.

Yes.

My ironing pile is bigger than Edgar Davids, and has more chance of being at The Walkers (albeit after I have ironed it and put it on. But with the Birch allegedly going, it could be an alternative form of half time entertainment!)
