Guest Basildon Fox Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Definitely. Self-policing in terms of how group members conduct themselves is something we're already wary of. Thankfully only had to have a quiet word with someone about something minor on Saturday. No offence but if this grows how are you going to be able to stop the nutters from infiltrating the group? Are you seriously going to tell a group of meatheads what they can or can not do? The bigger you get, the more likely it will be that you will attract trouble, especially from the lame of thinking who read a little on what an ultra is and think they are some kind of soldier. Also you say you are not a violent group. What are you going to do when an opposing set of fans try to take away your flag when you march towards the ground? Are you just going to let them have it when they start to hand a few slaps out? Don't get me wrong, I do not advocate violence at football. Just be interested in your response.
Guest Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 same here...? Looks like Fosse Boys in the Counting House getting warmed up pre match to me

1964FOX Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 If anyone comes into the group who acts in a negative way Or misunderstands what we are about they will be asked to leave, with the assistance of the club stewards if necessary. If anyone takes our flag I will personally cry as it would be most upsetting
Dan Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 One thing that has fvcked me off big time about this topic is how so many of the people with criticism aren't putting up a balanced argument at all. I'm all hearing "what if the noise fvcks off families" and "what if the old people get irritated", well hang on, they're choosing their way to support Leicester, and so are the Fosse Boys, where is the consideration that the Fosse Boys might be fvcked off with families and old peoples style of support, yet its fine for them to think vice versa - thats the way I think some people have come across anyway. It just seems like people are treating them as if they're under constant threat. Oh and just a side note, if you get a drummer then make sure they are actually fvcking good, I like Jobber as a bloke but as a drummer, no special rhythm/ability at all, just a thought really as I think Blackpools drummer being as talented as he is has played a big part in improving their home support, it's nothing major but we could be laughing if we get a good one.
wc-remix Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 Sorry Mr. Gee, only just seen your post. I'm no spokesperson for Fosse Boys as a group, i'm just going by my own experiences of being part of a sub-culture whilst growing up as most of us probably have. I have been in contact with Liam and the boys since the inception of the group, helping out with design problems they have come up against. Within the FT forum and Facebook i have dropped little hints that an Ultras group would have to be handled very differently in this country. Maybe i should have more than hinted. The guys seemed really sensible and level headed about the whole thing but keen to keep as much of the Ultra ethos as possible. My own opinion is take it and change it to what suits your own perimeters but purists don't take kindly to things like that. Even down to the name FOSSE BOYS. Everyone knows that there are male and female members but the BOYS part is an Ultras 'thing' and it has been retained to keep as much authenticity as possible. What i am trying to say is that no sub-culture likes to be diluted in any way and for young fans who are really into the Ultra Culture would see my ideas as well watered down. I didn't want to step on the boys' toes but i'll suggest em all the same because i do think they are decent ideas. Maybe get a half page in the matchday programs just for general info about the Fosse Boys If possible link up with people like Birch and Stringer to organise/participate in charity events. I'm a working musician and can get bands to play at charity events that the boys might want to put on, i'm sure there are loads of ideas. But they are not Ultra traditions. So as long as The Fosse Boys can digest changes and ideas like the ones i suggested we will be O.K. I think this would take a huge amount of time and effort. Dunno if the Fosse Boys can be arsed with it all. I can, and i hope they can too. Have you joined yet Davie? what? Are they running a charity or supporting a footy team? No offence but if this grows how are you going to be able to stop the nutters from infiltrating the group? Are you seriously going to tell a group of meatheads what they can or can not do? Huge @ getting club stewards to remove 'meat heads' etc. Over time, I guess....

Quite straightforward really.

LCFC-ARAB Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 I doubt we'll be doing any charity work any time soon! it's hard enough trying to organise getting people to football and with regards to what would we do if someone in the group was being an arse, eg being racist to people as we were walking to the ground or trying to fight randomers i'd first personally tell them to fuck off there is enough of us to deal with people wanting to play football factories we are all big enough and ugly enough to look after our selves

You got criticised in previous posts for ''telling people to fu*k off''. Who is it your business to tell anyone to **** off? Putting out the message that you are big enough to ''deal'' with anyone who want's to play football factories isn't great for your brand of a squeaky clean non-ultra/hooligan group is it. i would advise you are perhaps a bit more selective with the way you put across points in order to not be criticised like you have in countless posts before..

Sorry for not being politically correct so if we are walking to the ground, someone walking with us starts mouthing off at a group of asian kids or something we should not say anything carry on walking till we see a steward and tell them? sorry that should have been my respsone even if i wasnt with the fosse boys and witnessed that i would do the exact same thing

Tommy how about you actually post something usefull for once? What would you do it some idiots came and sat next to you and were shouting racist abuse or whatever. You would tell them to f off... Simple. You come across as a bit of a douche when your nit picking every post arab makes. I'm pretty sure Baclay himself would tell anyone wanting "to play football factories" to fook off as well...
purpleronnie Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 Tommy obviously doesnt mind racists. Very sad.

Shouting Racist abuse at me or racism in general? if someone was being racist to one of my mates then I would probably have a word, I would use ''**** off'' as my opener though. Meeting agression with agression rarely ends in peace does it, surely even you realise that? If someone was being generally racist towards someone I didn't know then I would honestly probably just leave it. If it was inside the ground then a steward would pick up on it and they woulod be ejected I assume. more fool them if they want to be racist in a public environment like a football stadium, shows what little brain cells those kind of people have.
Tommy G Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 Tommy obviously doesnt mind racists. Very sad. Absolute bullsh!t. I have 2 mixed race cousins and a mixed race girlfrind so you you can take that back straight away. You just assume because I'm not the racism police I support or tolerate racism? You complete cvnt

I think thats one of the most ridiculous posts ive read tbh mate, wether you are part of the Fosse Boys or not you surely would tell someone who is being racist to fvck off? Also if someone is going round thinking their in the Football Factory then surely you would tell them to distance themselves from you? If a fan was being racist in the ground they would be kicked out and banned by stewards and police etc so to tell them to Fvck off wouldn't be a harsh response surely? And by saying the Fosse Boy's are big enough and ugly enough to deal with that sort of problem was takien out of context by you i think..I assumed he just meant if someone gets all handy we will be able to deal with the problem if its a problem to anyones safety. Not that we would be going round starting on any Tom Dick or Harry.

Tommy G Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 I really don't know how you could do that. I'll tell you why. If someone is so small minded to be racist to someone then who's to say what they would do to you if a confrontation occurred. If you confront someone who is being racist to a randomer in the street, yu end up in a scuffle and they stab you? Yeh you die a hero, but then wouldn't people, like your family ask questions why you got involved in the first place? Report it by all means. but that makes me a racist does it? Jesus wept
AndyBrew Posted 3 August 2010 Posted 3 August 2010 as said before chaps ignore this kind of drivel its done for one reason and one reason only, rise above chaps, rise above!
