Fosse Boys - Leicester City Ultras

Your interview sounded good and most importantly, genuine. Real fans wanting to have a good time at a football match - it's such a simple message.

When Arab said one of the things we were about was singing even if we were three nil down I was hoping it would be a long time before he had to prove himself. But at Palace he and the other Fosse Boys were put to the test, they carried on singing straight after the third goal and continued to sing once the second half started. After about ten minutes into the second half suddenly everyone joined in and the atmosphere was great and has had numerous comments on other threads. Well done to the lads for keeping their promise and it proves how atmosphere can improve a game and help the players. My memory for yesterday was when Steve Howard came to us asking us to keep up the noise, real passion from a player, let's keep it going for the rest of the season and please let's have some at the Walkers as well.

That little stint you mentioned was awesome fun. Just shows if there's someone to keep it going it rubs off on the whole end.

I thought our end was pretty bloody good yesterday (few mongy chants flying around but you can't win 'em all). Definitely two of the best renditions of WYS I've ever seen/heard as well.

The whole section sang it slow, which sounded so much better than the warp speed version often heard in L1. It certainly turned a few Palace heads anyway (stand to our right).

To be fair we sang after going 3 down at sheff utd on the opening day 3 or 4 seasons ago,so it's nothing new...... good look to you though :trumpet:

The whole end singing WYS slow, with the whole end doing the hand movements was amazing.

Don't normally like the '1-0 down, who gives a ****' song normally, but when it gets the crowd going like Saturday its not too bad at all!

EDIT: Forgot to say, 'Oh when the blues' sounds great slow, but we kept skipping the second 'verse.' Would of sounded twice as good if it had been carried on for longer.

Not saying it is anything new, but a game like Sheff Yoo when everybody keeps it going in the lowest of times is a rare occurrence. We want to keep the noise up every single game for 90 minutes.

Few questions:

How many Fosse Boys where there on Sat?

Where the Palace Ultras any good?

How many you got for Middlesbro Sat?

Im at back of SK 1 with StandUP so it's looking like i'll be there.

For your information.

I was in the main stand, about 25-ish yards from the goal line more or less opposite The away 'end'.

The support looked fantastic but from my position was not all that loud first half, strange acoustics probably. When we went 3-0 down the Palace fans were buzzing, not much singing or chanting, but as I was amongst them they made it difficult to hear the Leicester songs.

What was impressive was the support at the start of the second, the Palace fans were a bit quiet, complacent perhaps, and the City fans were definately making the most noise. From Kings goal till the end the noise was impressive, the Palace fans woke up too, and it was all very enjoyable right to the end.

Our support contributed a lot to what was a decent atmosphere, only negative note was that it was difficult from where I sat to pick out the Ultras, was there an issue with flags and banners or were you all right at the back?

Even so, a very good turnout...:appl: :appl:

How many you got for Middlesbro Sat? Hopefully around 50-60 approx.

If you want to get involved, make yourself known to the group either by joining the Facebook group or registering on the official Fosse Boys website. There will no doubt be plans in place for Saturday's match. We don't want you to just turn up and stand with us at the match, make yourself known and get involved within the group.

At the present time, the aim of the Fosse Boys is to concentrate on improving its members enjoyment of home matches. Apart from traveling together on away days, there aren't any plans in place to carry out any form of display at away games until the group is more established. The leading members of the group were all based at the very back of the stand, with only scarves present.

It was nice to meet you guys in the flesh on saturday, I think what you are trying to do is great and hopefully you will succeed. I hope to bump into you a few more times throughout the season on away days!

Will be bringing something to Swansea away with a few mates whilst I'm over there, getting it all done down here then putting it in the suitcase for the round the world trip to the game. Will have to buy one or two pieces there, but it should all be set. Will be unreal. Stay tuned...

Thanks for that, wondered what was going on...

Although I choose to watch my football in a more 'conservative' manner I applaud the efforts made by the Fosse Boys and the away support in general.

Our away support (living in London I get to as many away games as I get to home games) is better than our home support in most things, your decision to concentrate on kicking some life into the Walkers (not literally I hope...) is probably sound.

If I was about 500 years younger....

Hello guys and gals,

I have finally had the Leicester Mercury get in touch. I almost lost hope after 10 emails and repeated requests, however a week later they have got in touch. I need all of the organisers of the Fosse Boys to send me their mobile numbers so i can email them to the journalist in question. In true style, the Leicester Mercury want to conduct these phone interviews tomorrow and would like a group photograph to be arranged tomorrow. This is a great coup and should be exploited. Let me know if you would like to contribute.

Up the Fosse!

Dominic

Have Stevenage got an Ultra group? Their fans are sounding amazing tonight.

I heard that just now, is it the pompey or the stevenage fans?
