Apart from the last few games he had very little effect last season.
Bettsj2 Posted 22 June 2010 Posted 22 June 2010 Definitely take the money. (Now for the unpopular part!!) Give Yann a longer run in the team and give him the chance to show what he can do. He's a much better player than Howard and has 6 years on him. Yann, Yann he's our man..................

Bugg Posted 22 June 2010 Posted 22 June 2010 Don't really see what's so laughable about that. He's got a point.
Corky Posted 22 June 2010 Posted 22 June 2010 I'm not convinced Yann would do a better job than Howard.

Bettsj2 Posted 22 June 2010 Posted 22 June 2010 I'm not convinced Yann would do a better job than Howard. If he was given a run of say 10 games upfront, he'd convince everyone.
Corky Posted 22 June 2010 Posted 22 June 2010 If he was given a run of say 10 games upfront, he'd convince everyone. I'll take your word for it then.
Fox You Forest Posted 22 June 2010 Posted 22 June 2010 Haven't we been over this several times already, nobody's opinion is going to have changed from the last time.

He's a much better player than Howard and has 6 years on him Yann, Yann he's our man.................. on a purely techincal basis he more than likely is, but although howard had about 4-5 good games last season thats still 3-4 more than yann did.
Webbo Posted 22 June 2010 Posted 22 June 2010 £500k is a lot of money for someone Howard's age. As long as Nige has someone else lined up then we should take it (assuming it's true).
dandannieldanok Posted 22 June 2010 Posted 22 June 2010 Keep him. Couldn't give a crap about the money, it goes into Mandaric's pocket not to the fans so stuff it. He's still a very useful player, especially if the replacement option is Yann Kermorgant. If Cardiff are willing to shell out, then why would we get rid, they're chasing promotion too, if he's good enough for them he's more than good enough for us.
Narborough_fox Posted 22 June 2010 Posted 22 June 2010 Test there resulotion to buy, see what's the highest they want to go anyth 750k+ take it anything below 750k, no.

The Bluebirds are looking to bounce back from last season's agonising play-off final defeat to Blackpool, but Howard, 34, is not a player they will be pursuing. Cardiff director Steve Borley, who is heading the club's transfer dealings this summer, told the South Wales Echo: "Steve Howard is not a target for us this summer. "The question really is, why would we want to sign a 34-year-old striker? The answer is, we don't want one."
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 23 June 2010 Posted 23 June 2010 Great comeback. What else would you want me to say. You are deluded? You are talking absolute bollocks with no actual evidence to support your viewpoint? You are still quite clearly blinded by a You Tube video? Take any of the above.

Legend_in_blue Posted 24 June 2010 Posted 24 June 2010 Big Steve is staying here. Someone shut this down.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 we should deffo keep him because it dont look like were gunna sign another quality striker and by what the mercury says we dont have any money to spend either. howard brings the best out of fryatt and is a real handful for defences, people moan and get on his back because of his lack of goals but he is a target man not a natural goalscorer. if he can perform and give 110% every week like he did against cardiff in the playoffs then fryatt will have no trouble finding the net frequently again this season. why would cardiff even want him anyway ? they got bothroyd who apart from his play acting is probably the best target man in the division
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Keep Howard, and get shot of Yann. He's a waste of space.
