The bizarre decision to leave Benzema at home, the fact that Domenech's reputation at home makes Steve McClaren look like Alf Ramsey, rumours of division and lack of confidence in the squad, Les Bleus could well struggle to make the last 16 if things do not according to plan in the group. Suarez and Forlan head a decent Uruguay side determined to help make sure that happens. They've some decent talent in the side, and memories of the Uruguay side of 2002 confirming a humiliating group stage exit for the then world champions will be fresh in the minds of both sides. My prediction is a 1-0 defeat for the French as they struggle to get to grips with the South Americans. A tough time awaits.
Koke Posted 11 June 2010 Posted 11 June 2010 Domenech is an idiot. I'm baffled how he has lasted this long for France. Some individual brilliance by Anelka, Ribery, Malouda or Henry will see them through this group. Also think they'll somehow win tonight.
