Neil_LCFC Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Makes the price rises look worth it doesn't it if we lose our manager/top scorer ,all the loan players have gone back & will probably turn up at Hull next season . Yet all we have replaced them with is someone from Rochdale no ones ever heard of ! Lets hope this is just Pearson using it as a bargaining tool to get himself a better deal with us & nothing more.
Salieri Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 I don't give a shit if anyone tells me money is an important factor, he earns alot more than any of us do and if he cared so much for money, he would of told Kermit to blast it top corner. Que?
Finnegan Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Hull? WTF... I feel like someones just walked into my house and pissed all over the Mrs....
kitty_katt_83 Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Ohhhhhh I think i'm gonna be sick!! I dont think even an England win on Sunday will calm the nerves for Monday morning! Seeing Sir Nige turn up on my tv screen in a press room NOT at the Walkers!!! And here we were sitting here being smug with ourselves for having a fantastic manager, great backroom staff and a great team!! The premonition of the players leaving scares me!! Its going to be interesting to see what he does with the jumped up ex prem players mind you being as D.J didnt work very well!!
Joe. Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 This is such shit timing as well. Pearson will have prepared new signings for months. Unless we get a manager in who's fresh off the scene they'll be pretty much starting from scratch with little to work with.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 We rate Fryatt at like £3/4M surely? Hull can't afford that. No, they're financially buggered. Not quite to a Pompey extent but not far off. According to a couple of articles, they're more concerned with trimming the wage bill than making any additions. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/sport/HULL-CITY-boss-required-squad-cull/article-2134415-detail/article.html http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/01/hull-city-loans-russell-bartlett

I think it's too far for that. I really hope I'm wrong though. Having seen Hull's financial problems, I may've been a bit hasty in my concern of losing too many players. Hopefully we'll be astute enough to price them out of our main assets and leave the new manager a very decent squad.
Ozwin Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Lets hope this is just Pearson using it as a bargaining tool to get himself a better deal with us & nothing more. That'd be the best thing ever. Mandy should just give him what he wants ffs. Maybe Nige is just trollin' the Hull fans for everyone elses benefit, I mean does anyone even like Hull? I bet most of the Hull fans wish they were born in Bolton or something, must look like Barbados in comparison. Anyway Monday morning will come along and it'll be announced that he's signed a new contract with Leicester City, dreamland.

I don't know why you don't believe those of us that keep telling you the finacial stories are a smoke screen and we've other investors coming on board. Your finances are actually in a worse state from my understanding.

Falsely reported only by local rags. http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/david-conn-inside-sport-blog/2009/sep/16/hull-city-finances-russell-bartlett http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/hullcity/6476126/Hull-Citys-problems-worsen-as-Premier-League-investigates-Michael-Turner-transfer.html
Brainy Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 "We' re very happy with the way it's progressing and we're confident we'll have a first-class man in place very soon," "We can't say anything more at this time. We're at a very sensitive stage but we're close. "It's a confidential process but I hope people will understand why that's been the case when we come to announce a new manager." "We're after somebody who's got a good track record in this division, someone with integrity and honesty," (Adam Pearson)
Ghurkin Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 A smoke screen....really? Effectively, yes. There are internal issues going on at the moment.
Ghurkin Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Yeah, a smoke screen. A pretty good smoke screen then ! Adequate I'd say, yes.
Maybes Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Anyway back to the vuvuzela's . . . .BAN the fvckers!!!
Smerklo Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 I really hope this isn't true. Really, really, really hope this isn't true. In fact, it's so bad that it can't be true.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 I'd just like to say that a certain former Leicester City boss has reportedly rejected a contract offer from his former employers, has a longer track record in this division, is on similar money to Pearson and had a more successful season spending less money than NP. http://football.fanhouse.co.uk/2010/06/24/newboys-blackpool-need-to-wrap-up-ian-holloways-long-term-futur/ http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Fears-Ian-Holloway-may-walk-away-from-Blackpool-over-new-contract-stalemate-article491185.html

If you really believe spin from your own club over respected sports journalists from quality dailies, I hardly think you're in a position to throw accusations of gullibility (two Ls) and desperation around.
nuttytimmy Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 I'm going to bed - I won't sleep for two days though, at least.

If I was believing the spin, you'd have a point but if you read what I posted, it's not spin I'm refering to, that's what you're gobling.
AndyBrew Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 I for one don't care, Ive just realised, as evry door closes another opens, and this could be the kick up the arse MM needs to dig into his pockets after all he needs a return on his investment and the only way he'll get that is by getting us in the premiership everything will be fine, come on Leicester!

There are already fans questioning whether this debt crisis is real or just crap. The owner is a property developer, and guess what ? there is a £20m new hotel complex at the KC somewhere in the pipeline. Sound familiar ? We sold Hunt and Moyo (both decent players) to Wolves just to pay off the unpaid transfer fees to France and Reading. It's crazy. Our squad is so crap that we dont even get any enquiries for them. Brown was paid £400k pa in the Chump and £1.4m in the PL. Why is NP coming here ? Dont know. There'll be the usual crap statement about potential, lovely city, best fans in the world who deserve better and who want to see players put in a shift, and what a great honour and privilege it is to be given this chance - blah, blah. He will find that here the only factor is money. Serves you right for sending us Peter Taylor.
