Ashley Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 My bad didn't realise he was there... Tony Mowbray is the only person who stands out that we wouldn't have to pay compensation for then.. :'(
Fosse Boy Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Pearson gave Manadaric his word he would sign, intergrity? more like a cnut I take it you'll be standing by that statement if he stays here?
Corky Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Pearson gave Manadaric his word he would sign, intergrity? more like a cnut Thing is that we have no concrete proof that this happened, so we don't know what the situation was with regards to his contract.
Cropwellfox Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 cheers mate, i suspect we now won't hear anything on the matter until monday but humberside still seem fairly confident it is pearson and if that is the case then he's already agreed a deal. just wonder to what extent discussions with mandaric have taken place or how smoothly they may or may not go... i wouldn't worry about discussions with Mandaric...direct quotes from Pearson over the past few months about his contract and whetehr he would sign a new one... "Like any contract, there are different clauses and I don't think anyone needs to know that" "There are a number of criteria, but I think they are best kept in-house."
Ozwin Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 I take it you'll be standing by that statement if he stays here? Well he wouldn't have broken his word if he stays here will he?
Micky Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Where is bert when you need some comfirmation? I can't believe people are considering Tony Mowbray. Managed a completely inept West Brom in the top flight and made Celtic completely average. No thanks!
Fosse Boy Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Well he wouldn't have broken his word if he stays here will he? So it's probably a little premature to be calling him a cvnt now isn't it?
Koke Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Mexico will lose tomorrow, and England will probably lose on Sunday and then Nigel will leave on Monday. What a shit weekend this will be.
ThorpeAstleyFox Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Pearson gave Manadaric his word he would sign, intergrity? more like a cnut Well maybe Milan should have made hay whilst the sun was shining and offered Pearson the assurances that he needed to sign? I'm quite sure that Mandaric has given his word to a fair few of his previous managers
Ozwin Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 So it's probably a little premature to be calling him a cvnt now isn't it? I agree, but it's more than warranted if he leaves after giving his word on the matter. Assuming it's true that is, I see no reason why Mandy would lie about it.
Salieri Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Where is bert when you need some comfirmation? I can't believe people are considering Tony Mowbray. Managed a completely inept West Brom in the top flight and made Celtic completely average. No thanks! Agreed. Followed taking West Brom down from the Prem with failure at Celtic. Curbishleys record pisses all over Mowbrays.

Managed a completely inept West Brom in the top flight and made Celtic completely average. No thanks! We're not in the topflight nor are we int he SPL. Mowbray, admittedly, spent a fair bit, but he knows this league and he pays attractive football. Though he also brought a couple of gems to WBA. I would take Mowbray.
whitlock Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Pearson gave Manadaric his word he would sign, intergrity? more like a cnut Well these rumours arent concrete we know but there is something definitly in the air, i can see him going personally, if this wasn't true, surely LCFC officials, NP would come out and say its not true, i gave my word im staying so therefore i am staying, job done, he's off, ta'dar.
Tommeh Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Where is bert when you need some comfirmation? I can't believe people are considering Tony Mowbray. Managed a completely inept West Brom in the top flight and made Celtic completely average. No thanks! Bert's on holiday, give the fucker a week off yes.
Joe. Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Well he clearly wants to leave, you don't go and talk to another club if you're happy where you are. Whoever was talking about concrete evidence, I think we have it no?
Micky Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 We're not in the topflight nor are we int he SPL. Mowbray, admittedly, spent a fair bit, but he knows this league and he pays attractive football. Though he also brought a couple of gems to WBA. I would take Mowbray. Great! He knows this league and also know how to be completely tactically deficient in the premier. If we appointed Mowbray there would be no point in getting promoted because he wouldn't be capable of keeping us up. Its like trying to drive a formula 3 car in a formula one race. Just not up to it!

But that was followed by relegation from the Prem (despite, as you said, spending a fair bit). I'd rather appoint a manager who is capable of not only getting us up, but keeping us there too.
fatmando Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Mandaric's that much of a twat I doubt many decent potential managers would be that interested in the job. Surely he could have pulled out all the stops to keep him?
whitlock Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 So it's probably a little premature to be calling him a cvnt now isn't it? Yeah probs a slight over reaction, but we could be on the verge of losing the best manager we've had in years, he's creating something here and he's on the verge of doing one, to Hull which is such a shithole! Will struggle to replace him, plus even more so his back room staff, looked like such a bright future for us, slowly clouding over again.

My point is he learnt from his lesson, and I'm sure Mowbray learnt from his stint at the Prem as well as his time at the SPL. You guys are thinking way ahead of yourselves. We'll worry about the Premiership if and when we get there.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Bert's on holiday, give the fucker a week off yes. Bert's on holiday MM on holiday?? Coincidence....

Koke Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Fair enough. I'm not saying Mowbray is a terrible manager, but surely you would take Curbishley (proven record in the Prem) over him? Yeah, I would take Curbs over him, but I wouldn't be unhappy if we got Mowbray either tbh.
