BoneDog Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Don't suppose we are gonna hear any new news at gone midnight, but WTH, I'll stick around for a bit. this is too important.
Daggers Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 He'd not have tendered his notice if we'd had a red away strip next season, apparently. Fvck you Mandaric.
C-man Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 The Tigers always fvck us over... using our gaff, changing our kick off times and now this. Fvcking egg chasing ******... Honestly feel like I did the night before Stoke, perhaps worse thinking about having to rebuild the club again. This is tragic.
Koke Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Whatever happens I'll always be grateful for how Pearson turned this club around. Took over a sinking ship and galvanised the whole club. Also, he placed a good spine in our team. We got a solid team, and hopefully a decent manager will come in and build on that.
carterfox90 Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 lets all wait until something comes from NP himself but got to admit its feckin worrying
haraven Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Can someone please calm me down and tell me these rumours about NP going to fvcking Hull is just bs?
Jordan Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 This is such shit timing as well. Pearson will have prepared new signings for months. Unless we get a manager in who's fresh off the scene they'll be pretty much starting from scratch with little to work with. Don't worry. Milan's been clicking around YouTube and Wikipedia; he's had his own transfer list ready for a month.
J.Lisemore Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Doesn't sound good IF he don't want to be here, then get rid. Brilliant manager, destined for bigger things.
NGoloMode Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Brilliant manager, destined for bigger things. This tbh.

Managers like players that they know, Hull will be linked with Hobbs, king & Fryatt as soon as NP goes
Ziggy1990 Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 ahhh, ive just come in from work, and seen all this!!! been through the exact same thing with Smegson, surely not again!
MPH Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 I am just trying to work out what it is that will attract Nigel to Hull.. and this isnt one of those ' our club is bigger than your clubs' posts.... Many stories have surfaced of the financial problems at Hull... if they are true and i am believing they are, then what can Nigel gain from going there? He surely wont be able to buy in a bucket load of players to steady the ship... Money is tight at Hull and its equally tight at Leicester Yes there is talk on here by some of Hull having investors waiting in the wings.... well we have talks of that happening here too.. I can understand Nigel being annoyed at the lack of progress on the contract talks and even more annoyed at the lack of money to spend in this close season.... But to jump from one club where the funds are not there to another one is puzzling to say the least... Now if someone like West Ham had come knocking then that would be a completly different story altogether.. he would ALMOST go with my blessing as it would be all the more understandable... Now either he is selling himself completely short ( that isnt intended as a dig at Hull but meant he is taking a sideways step when he has shown he has what it takes to manage in the prem which would be an upwards step), the financial situation is either worse here than we are led to believe or better at Hull than we are led to believe. Or their chairman has told him the biggest pack of lies and he is walking into a hopelessly lost situation without even knowing it... Whatever the scenerio, its just all very puzzling......
JimmyK Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 What the Hell? Just got to my local library in NZ to use the internet, and there's no better way to wipe a good mood out than read all this. Please don't be true! Up until 10 minutes ago my biggest footballing worry was facing all the Germans in my hostel if we lose.
look_back_in_amber Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 HCAFC fan in peace. If NP does end up at the KC, as is looking seriously likely, I'd like to offer my genuine sympathies boys as, based on everything that's been posted on this thread, he is obviously very good at his job and fondly thought of by most, if not all, of you.. From our point of view it will obviously be fantastic to have a manager of his calibre, especially after the nightmare last 18 months of Phil Brown's tenure, you SERIOUSLY don't want that guy anywhere near your club! Whilst on the subject of prospective new manager's for your club I couldn't help but note that a few of you appear pro Curbishley, I'm not being funny but from what I understand about Mr. Mandaric I wouldn't have thought that Curbishley would come anywhere near Leicester. In all honesty the NP thing has come completely from left field for most of us as we were expecting Mowbray at best, I suppose he would be your best choice as an immediate replacement but the only problem there as I understand it is that he's still contracted to Celtic as they are wrangling over his compensation. With the pre-season literally days away I certainly don't envy your position however I'd like to genuinely wish you all the best, and that is said with sincerity.
BoneDog Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 This is serious...........This is very serious. I need a gram of crack. I'm going to bed soon, to cry on my pillow like a girl.
ozleicester Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 WTF... i dont like waking up to this Will just sit tight until we hear more... all still a bit of BS unless confirmed.
Far Post Gerry Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 If true, this is poor form from everyone concerned. Nige for bailing on us, Mandy for not bending over backwards to keep him, and Hull for poaching our boss (although to be fair, who can blame them?). And the ones who suffer are the fans, as usual. A sad reflection on the state of football.
Cropwellfox Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Oh b*gger... doesn't look any better this morning either bye bye
Population-1 Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Now in the local Hull press. It appears that unless he has a major rethink over the weekend Nige is on his way. Maybe his family can convince him to stay? http://www.sporthull.co.uk/headlines/HULL-CITY-Pearson-looks-set-Tigers/article-2350176-detail/article.html
TigerTiger Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Morning Leicester fans.... I agree Leicester have more cash than us, we are £28 mill in debt but one thing is for sure, NIGEL PEARSON has agreed to join us so MAKES YOU ALL LOOK A BIT PATHETIC REALLY DOESNT IT... Oh yeah who was the knob that says its bullshit,,,, Blame your chairman kidda, you have lost a great manager to a club with no dough, in a bit of turmoil, SAYS A LOT ABOUT LEICESTER WHEN YOUR HERO BOSS LEAVES FOR THAT EH?? Happy days and welcome to the KC Stadium Nigel
davieG Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Now on the Sky website. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11714_6229203,00.html?
MikeyT Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Now on the Sky website. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11714_6229203,00.html? I was just going to post this, but didn't know if it had been posted in the copious amounts of pages beforehand so didn't bother. Really hoping it isn't true, but guess we shall all find out soon enough.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Hull should have stayed at Boothferry Park. A shit stadium in a shit part of a shit city made sure they knew their rightful place in English football. As it is, in their council stadium, they are the Coventry of the North. No, they're much, much more pathetic than that. If a pitiful outfit like Hull City is the limit of Pearson's ambition, then frankly we can do better. No-one is bigger than this club and we will recover if this is true, as is looking increasingly likely unfortunately. Bring in Tony Mowbray, have us playing the best football in the division, and show NP exactly what he's missing as he comes to realise how much of a backwards step he has made.
