dandannieldanok Posted 9 July 2010 Posted 9 July 2010 I know Rui Costa (current Director of Football) very well and trust the relationship I have with the club (Benfica) therefore they allowed us to bring the player here. So much for all those Swansea fans saying Sousa has no contacts in football. Benfica good enough for ya?
Matt Posted 9 July 2010 Posted 9 July 2010 So much for all those Swansea fans saying Sousa has no contacts in football. Benfica good enough for ya? However i'm sure I read comments about Sousa love's abit of name dropping.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 July 2010 Posted 9 July 2010 Looks a promising signing. Added bit of depth to the defence now at least.
ousefox Posted 9 July 2010 Posted 9 July 2010 I can see him doing a decent job for us, but would much rather see him on the bench with a fully fit Tunchev
davieG Posted 9 July 2010 Posted 9 July 2010 http://www.portugoal.net/index.php/more-benfica-news/13141-vitor-looking-forward-to-leicester-spell? Vitor looking forward to Leicester spell Defender happy to be under guidance of Paulo Sousa Benfica's Miguel Vitor is excited over his loan move to Chmapionship side Leicester City and is expecting to gain a lot of experiences with The Foxes. The English club agreed to a deal to take on the Portugal U21 starlet, under the advice of new coach Paulo Sousa, and the Portuguese defender wants to hit the ground running at the Walkers Stadium. "This is a great opportunity for me," said Vitor on Maisfutebol. "The club has a Portuguese manager, which is a big help because he recognises me and knows what my capabilities are." "I expect to participate in many matches, play well and help Leicester reach the Premier League. I like to win the ball in the defensive end and also attack it with my aerial game." "I will fight for my place and expect to give everything that I can. I believe that Leicester can help me and I hope Leicester can help me evolve." Paulo Sousa had nothing but good things to say about his first signing at his new club and feels that he has got a 'football player'. "Miguel is a young footballer with a good base and, already, with a lot of experience. He was captain of Benfica at the youth levels, is a good communicator and has leadership capabilties," said the Leicester boss.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 Sounds promising, eye brows alone are worth some of the hype surrounding this guy.
Callabinho Posted 10 July 2010 Posted 10 July 2010 However i'm sure I read comments about Sousa love's abit of name dropping. I don't blame him haha, if I was mates with Rui-Costa id tell every one haha !
OzFox Posted 11 July 2010 Posted 11 July 2010 Sounds promising, eye brows alone are worth some of the hype surrounding this guy. Kaebi had eyebrows like that , not to mention hype. Hopefully that's where the similarity ends
BenficaFan Posted 15 July 2010 Posted 15 July 2010 I know Miguel Vitor, seen him play alot and i think you don't have to worry about him, he's a strong and fast enough, good in aerial game and tackles. I hope we convince's you.
BenficaFan Posted 15 July 2010 Posted 15 July 2010 Not that i remind me. He's good, don't worry. Hope he plays a lot, he need's to learn't with the strong striker's of the english football. I worry about Paulo Sousa, he's a medium coach, don't believe he can't take Leiceister to Premier league but let's see.
