philayres200 Posted 13 July 2010 Posted 13 July 2010 Hope he isnt another foreign signing that is useless. Kermorgant, Kaebi, Laczo, Bori, etc. Yann, will be the man! He will fit into Paulo's preferred systems of 4-5-1, or 4-3-3 superbly. Many of you will think me mad but Yann is a striker with vision and skill. Preferred position striker. Only start as a striker for Leicester he scored a peach of a goal. He can play football, and Paulo will like him. I also expect Gally to fit easily into his plans - not so sure about N'Guesson and Dyer. Nicky Adams wants to impress, and I think he just might get into Paulo's reckoning as well. I will be very surprised if Campbell or Howard will be with us for long. Whether people like it or not, skill and vision will be pre-eminent in Paulo's mind, now here's the controversial bit:- those who have both, Yann Kermogant, Matt Oakley, Nicky Adams, Paul Gallagher:- those who have a bit of both:- Matty Fryatt, Andy King, Richie Wellens, Lloyd Dyer, Dany N'guessan, those who have neither ( although they may have other attributes ):- Steve Howard, DJ Campbell. ( The defenders - except we probably still need a new right back - are sound ! ). Just a note of caution, before you really slag me off, consider I might be right! N.B. My evaluations do not take into consideration age or fitness levels.
martyn Posted 13 July 2010 Posted 13 July 2010 This season makes or breaks Yann. He's shown enough glimpses to suggest that binning him off now or deeming him "useless" is rather harsh but he has much to prove. I hope he has a good season.
Jimbo Posted 13 July 2010 Posted 13 July 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tm5u1Nej_-E To be fair, I scored a goal like that once in a kick about with my mates Just need to change my name to Jimbinho and I might get linked to a possible move. Anyone fluent in portugese that can write up a link on a foreign website

Anyone fluent in portugese that can write up a link on a foreign website My girlfriend speaks fluent Spanish and excellent Portuguese, I'll have a word and we can get it on some Spanish websites to. I do, however, want 10% of your sign on fee and 10% of your wages when you sign for Man Utd.

Think we can just leave the judgements to the Kermorgant thread.
ousefox Posted 13 July 2010 Posted 13 July 2010 Who was the last decent foreigner we have actually had? Nalis?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 July 2010 Posted 13 July 2010 Who was the last decent foreigner we have actually had? Nalis? N'Guessan isnt bad. But I think when we talk about foreigners, we mean someone who comes over from abroad (unlike DNG who was already over here), so yeah I'd say Nalis.
Alexikokopops Posted 13 July 2010 Posted 13 July 2010 Who was the last decent foreigner we have actually had? Nalis? Tunchev before injury? Berner?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 July 2010 Posted 13 July 2010 Tunchev before injury? Berner? Could argue Tunch, but I think it should go on more than just half a season in League 1. Berner yes, but I think we were talking about people who hadnt played in England before, Berner was at Blackburn previously.
ousefox Posted 13 July 2010 Posted 13 July 2010 Tunchev before injury? Berner? Completely forgot about Tunch. Shame we haven't seen more than half a season of him and might never do in the future

I do, however, want 10% of your sign on fee and 10% of your wages when you sign for Man Utd. I wonder how long it will take before it gets on footballrumours and then from there to the press!! Don't be suprised when you see some 5'6" fat bloke holding up a Leicester scarf at the Walkers. I do think that I'd be the worst signing since Sergio Hellings though

Berner yes, but I think we were talking about people who hadnt played in England before, Berner was at Blackburn previously. Berner was registered with Blackburn but only played 3 times cos of injury, so you could perhaps consider him

Spiritwalker Posted 13 July 2010 Posted 13 July 2010 Berner was registered with Blackburn but only played 3 times cos of injury, so you could perhaps consider him Really ? I thought he was there for 3 years.
Ric Flair Posted 21 July 2010 Posted 21 July 2010 Any news on this lad? Have Sporting Gijon nabbed him or is he still gettable? Looks like we could do with an atatcking midfielder if Yann fooks off.
Simo86 Posted 21 July 2010 Posted 21 July 2010 Really ? I thought he was there for 3 years. Nope just the one, he joined them in 2007 and then joined us in 2008
Ric Flair Posted 30 July 2010 Posted 30 July 2010 Castro has been linked with the same club that Kermorgant has fooked off to.
The People's Hero Posted 13 August 2010 Posted 13 August 2010 Castro has been linked with the same club that Kermorgant has fooked off to. And Hamer Bouazza!
