Outfox the Fox Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Just heard from a journo contact in London, that Sousa is to offer Rosenior a contract. He's been training with City for a week apparently. He was released by Reading at the end of the season. Steve Coppell (his ex-manager) offered him a trial with Bristol City, but he turned that down because of definite interest from us (and because he thought his record - and number of appearances last season - was good enough not to need trialling !). I think a couple of people here saw him in the Stands at the Sunderland game yesterday ?
darko2k7 Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Sounds like a similar type of player to wellens and Oakley to me according to his wiki page. Would be a decent enough signing having played in premiership for a bit .

darko2k7 Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 He's a right back Born in London, Rosenior started his career with Bristol City as a promising midfielder Wiki page My mistake sorry i see he changed postion later in career now now i read the small print
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Born in London, Rosenior started his career with Bristol City as a promising midfielder Wiki page The key word in there is 'started'. It says his playing position is a Right back/centre back. Ruud Van Nistelrooy started as a sweeper, doesnt mean he is one now does it?
Ozwin Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Definate right back, Sousa doesn't like Nielson does he haha.
Matt Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Definate right back, Sousa doesn't like Nielson does he haha. For good reason.

dandannieldanok Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Never rated this guy defensively. Granted I've only seen him play live about 4/5 times.

Might make another one this season too.
darko2k7 Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Ya hopefully will be a few more goals on it this year
Astar_Fox Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Saw him getting out of his car with his missus as we walked by yesterday. good signing in my opinion. hopefully signing Rosenior and Lamey means Nielson will be shipped out on loan at least (assuming someone would take him i.e an spl side?). All of a sudden our right back position might be looking abit more assured as it was a real worry. I also noticed the car parked next 2 Roseniors had the number plate E6 VAN, anyone got any ideas?? could be nothing in it but never noticed it there before!
OutFoxing-Cov-Since1884 Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Hope we do sign him! He would be a good player to have around.
Unabomber Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 I have never rated him, and he thinks that he is a lot better than he actually is.
kylestyle06 Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Whoever it is isn't insured as i've checked the insurance database. !
Bettsj2 Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Whoever it is isn't insured as i've checked the insurance database. ! It's not on the insurance DataBase because the car is registered in Germany and not the UK. Van Nistelrooy plays for Hamburg.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Just found out from a contact at Leicester that Cedric van der Gun was at the game Saturday so that helps out with E6 VAN
mmarkie Posted 2 August 2010 Posted 2 August 2010 Cedric van der Gun was in the Swansea squad on Saturday and they are in Holland so that's bullshit.
