StanSP Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 And even then, split into fifths, he'd still be better than all our other strikers put together. Not quite.
HonradaRaposa Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 And even then, split into fifths, he'd still be better than all our other strikers put together. Let him go, as he has demonstrated during his time with us he is a very good League One striker.
Narborough_fox Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 111 Games 22 Goals, great Championship strike record.
Wdywd Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 Sorry, all our other strikers are SENSATIONAL, my bad.
StanSP Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 Sorry, all our other strikers are SENSATIONAL, my bad. No-one said they were sensational.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 Let him go, as he has demonstrated during his time with us he is a very good League One striker. People are forgetting his goals at the start of last season. He should be kept at all costs.
Wdywd Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 In all seriousness, do people genuinely want us to sell him?
HonradaRaposa Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 People are forgetting his goals at the start of last season. He should be kept at all costs. The way you are going on you'd think he was world class.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 The way you are going on you'd think he was world class. No. He's a key player. Remember when we were all saying at the start of last season, "We need some goals to come from somewhere else" If he hadn't of got injured, he'd have probably got 20 goals.
Bert Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 May well be but something makes me believe Sousa wouldn't mind shifting some of NP's team to bring in his own, after all he's whole-heartedly, some may say too much given his backing to DJ an NP outcast so that he has the excuse/chance to bring in his own choices. I'm sure there were many in the team not over the moon at him replacing Pearson and judging from yesterday's pre-match and match body language there doesn't seem a whole lot of harmony in the squad and with the management team. Fryatt wasn't one of NP's players....
unreachable Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 Fryatt wasn't one of NP's players.... DavieG didn't say he was. He was part of "NP's team".
davieG Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 Fryatt wasn't one of NP's players.... Technically so but it was NP that put his faith in him and brought the best out of him which would make Fryatt especially grateful to him and where his allegiance will lie until Sousa wins him and the others over, even more than normal considering the exceptional circumstances surrounding NPs departure.
Jon25747 Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 111 Games 22 Goals, great Championship strike record. This speaks volumes for me
bigneville Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 This speaks volumes for me Didn't he play around half of these games at right wing before the NP era?
Jon25747 Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 Didn't he play around half of these games at right wing before the NP era? I wouldn't say half by any means. I'll admit he knows where the goal is but he has never proved to me that he can do well in this division over an extended period. Plus, selling him would put the whole "some love him, some hate him" thing which is so frustrating on here!

Remember when we were all saying at the start of last season, "We need some goals to come from somewhere else" If he hadn't of got injured, he'd have probably got 20 goals. I remember what happened when he broke his jaw, we carried on regardless scoring goals and maintaining a play-off push. Then he came back and missed the biggest chance in his Leicester career, bottled it against Cardiff at home and the rest as they say is history. Now here we have Sousa who doesn't rate Fryatt as highly as he does and he's got the hump. His piss poor Championship scoring record only supports those that recognise him for what he is, League One. Why you are so emotional about a below average Championship player is beyond me.

Webbo Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 Didn't he play around half of these games at right wing before the NP era? He was also carrying an injury most of that time too. If he hadn't broken his jaw last season he was well on his way to 20 goals. Anybody saying he couldn't cut it in the championship is talking out of their arse.

Leicester_Loyal Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 CLICK Fryatt set to leave, don't know if this has already been posted, sorry if it has.

samuel Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 Let's say for arguments sake this is true. What happens if he is proven to have made the right decision? Campbell and Fryatt both scored 11 times last season, but it took Fryatt an extra 11 matches to do so. Hardly a gulf of ability between them in Fryatt's favour is there? Anyway, to be fair to DJ it seems obvious his only issue was with Pearson and not Leicester, or else he wouldn't be playing now. This. As DavieG has already intimated, the players all looked a bit disjointed and unsettled before the game, probably because they know that Fryatt is off. As for Lloyd Dyer, I like him, but he has never had the legs for 90 minutes of football. But unless Paulo is lining up Nathan Dyer, then we should keep him. I won't be too sorry to see Fryatt go, because I think DJ has more goals in him, should the service be right
buzzy Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 Yup. Sousa out if this happens. are you genarally a muppet. sousa shiuld be sacked fi this happens. FOR GODS SAKE WHY DON'T YOU GO TO ANOTHER CLUB
bigneville Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 He was also carrying an injury most of that time too. If he hadn't broken his jaw last season he was well on his way to 20 goals. Anybody saying he couldn't cut it in the championship is talking out of their arse. So true. We shouldn't be looking to pick either DJ or Fryatt. They should both be playing up front for us, in a potential 40 goal a season partnership. We do we have to choose? Surely we can have both?
