Asherz Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 i also agree fryatt is shite. shuda sold him to wigan when we had the chance.
FilbertTheFox Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Wow some people have short memories.....Fryatt was a goal machine the season before last and yes I know it was in League One, but at least have some gratitude and fooking respect....the lad's goals sent us back up to the Championship....simple as that! As for Heskey, he may be a hometown hero and all that, but I can't see him coming back to Leicester now....I think he will end his career back with us, but I don't think he's at that stage yet, besides I don't think Villa will want to part with him yet!

Well said some people have very short memories, leave the lad alone ffs,the lad deserves some credit surely
Houdini Logic Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Shocked! You're shocked? You should have seen the missus when she came home...
Master Fox Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 I hate everything. Why are we so shit? Why can't we have a decent kit? Why do we sign rubbish players all the time? Why can't we be in the premier league?
Zingari Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 am i the only one who would rather all these mega rich asian businessmen would use their excess squillions to aid the many wretched citizens on their own doorsteps ? yes i probably am
Houdini Logic Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 am i the only one who would rather all these mega rich asian businessmen would use their excess squillions to aid the many wretched citizens on their own doorsteps ? yes i probably am Unfortunately for them, poor people don't have a high return on investment
Master Fox Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 am i the only one who would rather all these mega rich asian businessmen would use their excess squillions to aid the many wretched citizens on their own doorsteps ? yes i probably am do you mean those living in Leicester?
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 If we actually have got 10 million to spend, announcing it to the rest of the England was a very stupid thing to do.
Babylon Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 If we actually have got 10 million to spend, announcing it to the rest of the England was a very stupid thing to do. They (allegedly) mentioned it in Thailand... we can thank the mercury for repeating it over here.
Babylon Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 If we actually have got 10 million to spend, announcing it to the rest of the England was a very stupid thing to do. OR... maybe it was really clever. Maybe we have £500 million to spend but now people think we only have £5m
Master Fox Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 OR... maybe it was really clever. Maybe we have £500 million to spend but now people think we only have £5m Maybe it's just one big massive joke?
Babylon Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Maybe it's just one big massive joke? It's been one of them for most of the last decade at Leicester.
Far Post Gerry Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 am i the only one who would rather all these mega rich asian businessmen would use their excess squillions to aid the many wretched citizens on their own doorsteps ? yes i probably am Ol' Thaksin Shinawatra tried that once; he's now on a fugitive on terrorism charges - that's where trying to help the poor gets you in Thailand. Much better to play polo, buy your kid a football club and forget about the dirty beggars.
Master Fox Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 It's been one of them for most of the last decade at Leicester. True. Long may it continue

MPH Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 They (allegedly) mentioned it in Thailand... we can thank the mercury for repeating it over here. To make matters worse, the merc probably got it from here.. :-(
MPH Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 am i the only one who would rather all these mega rich asian businessmen would use their excess squillions to aid the many wretched citizens on their own doorsteps ? yes i probably am Its actually a very valid point and one that highlights everything i dislike about football. I do not see football changing, unfortunately !
wurmer Posted 20 August 2010 Author Posted 20 August 2010 To make matters worse, the merc probably got it from here.. :-( I will send them an invoice then.
leicesterseddon Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 To be honest, I think we all know deep down, despite the talk in Thai newspapers and the Mockery, that we aren't going to spend £10m on players - be it transfer fees only or even as an overall budget. In fact, I'd be surprised if we spent half of that.
davieG Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Perhaps this £10mill talk was just part of the overall illusion of making past and present owners seem acceptable/heaven sent. Like always the cynic that I am I will only believe things when they happen as all too often they don't. I'd also prefer some of these riches to be spent enabling fans to be able to afford to go to matches.
Thracian Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 It wasn't the club that wasted 5m on Akinbadbuy, it was Taylor who wasted 5m of the clubs money on him. And that happened because O'Neill had been allowed to dictate how things happened. This is another era, hopefully not another error. If a company gives an employee carte blanche to spend bucketloads of money and it backfires, the company is still saddled with ultimate reponsibility, blame and impact. Any act of absolving itself from that responsiblity is just irresponsible folly. Furthermore, nothing that has happened in the last six/seven years suggests to me that the club are incapable of making other bad signings. I'm not saying they will - in fact I'm probably more heartened by recent developments than anything else that's happened to City in the last few years. But I'll see what sort of players we actually sign before I start getting excited.

Good point, but don't you think they know everybody's going be watching what monies are being spent in the next 11 days, if the King Power guys now renege on spending the kind of amounts they have "Quoted" they will lose all credibility and people will rightly be thinking. Are you Nott's County in disguise ? If they lose the support of fans, they lose EVERYTHING.

'Undisclosed fee' can hide a lot and how do we get even an inkling of the wages being paid or agents fees or the contents of the brown paper bag. Are you Mystic Meg in disguise?
ibbosuk Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 'Undisclosed fee' can hide a lot and how do we get even an inkling of the wages being paid or agents fees or the contents of the brown paper bag. Are you Mystic Meg in disguise? Agents fees are transparent (Figures published in the last few days) it's not hard to find out the wages of a player as it always seems to become common knowledge. Look its the new owners of the club that have put pressure on themselves by quoting £10.000,0000, no one, I presume twisted there arm to say that, but a quote is a quote.
