Wow. Im glad you young guys spend most of your time on the net searching for LCFC info. When I was your age I spent most of my time looking for women and booze. Im glad times have changed.

Very nice to hear, it does refer to a total budget though, I take that to mean an amount to spend on transfer fees and wages, maybe up to £5m on fees and £5m in wages would be my guess from that. Still huge though and a couple of top players on fees and a couple of calssy free transfers and we'll be there or there abouts.

It actually states ' could be MORE than 10 million'

If. Someone is on 20k a week that's only 1m of the budget. I would estimate us to be getting 3 top players

Until something more concrete comes out of the club itself, any figure given is meaningless.

Do you really expect the club to announce their transfer budget?

BANGKOK: The new Thai owner of Leicester City said yesterday he would be a long-term investor in the English Championship club and had earmarked up to £10m ($15.6m) for new players.

The last Thai venture into English football ended controversially when fugitive former premier Thaksin Shinawatra bought Manchester City in 2007 and sold it a year later.

But Vichai Raksriaksorn, the CEO of duty-free giant King Power Group, told reporters: “I have no plan to sell the club in the near future.”

Vichai declined to say how much he had spent on the takeover, which was announced last week.

He said he now personally owns 100 percent of the shares of Leicester City Football Club but plans to offer stakes to other Asian investors, while retaining more than 51 percent himself.

He has handed decision-making authority to his son, Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn.

Vichai, an avid polo fan, said it was his personal ambition to own an English football club and that profits were not his main motive.

He said he wanted the team to win promotion to the Premier League and help boost Thai football

Mr Vichai is now preparing to open the first Leicester City souvenir outlet at King Power duty-free at Suvarnabhumi Airport around mid-September.

Someone HAS to get a photo.

New Leicester City owner Vichai Raksriaksorn wants the Championship side to return to the Premier League next season following his takeover of the Foxes.

Vichai, chairman and CEO of King Power Group, told a press conference yesterday that while his duty-free business would gain from the deal, the takeover was prompted by sporting rather than business reasons.

"It is a challenge. Our goal is to take Leicester back to the Premier League next year," said Vichai who completed the takeover last week.

At this stage, Leicester may bring in unwanted players from big Premier League clubs on loan or buy players at a reasonable price, he said.

"You never know, we may buy Didier Drogba," Vichai said jokingly.

His son Aiyawatt, now a Leicester director, said the club need quality defenders and midfielders but manager Paulo Sousa will be allowed to look for players he wants and Aiyawatt will then make a decision whether the club should buy them.

Earlier reports claimed Vichai was in talks with a TV station for it to show Leicester's remaining games this season live.

Leicester finished fifth in the Championship last season and failed in the play-offs for a Premiership berth. The Foxes last played in the top flight in 2004.

Vichai said it was Phairoj Piempongsarn who introduced him to Leicester and a deal was struck after a talk with club chairman Milan Mandaric. Phairoj is one of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra's close aides who helped broker Thaksin's takeover of Manchester City in 2007.

Vichai, whose favourite sport is polo, insisted that he took over the club because he loves sports and wants to help push Thai football to international standard.

King Power has recently signed a contract to become a major sponsor of the club with its logo on the players' shirts.

Vichai said Leicester's Walker Stadium will be renamed King Power Stadium in December after the contract with a sponsor expires.
