:fc: Need to get some optimism going early for the League game Saturday and the small matter of a trip to Leeds in the Carling Cup Tuesday night.

Reading have also started their season slowly, losing at home to relegation favourites Scunny which is a worser result than our League defeats so far, but followed with a couple of solid 1-1 draws. And in between drawing 0-0 at Torquay in the cup before winning it late in extra time.

So surely a win is on the cards for us in this one :dunno:

Reading beat us in this fixture 2-1 last season. We have undergone wholesale changes since then with new players, a new style and a new boss. Reading have stuck with Mcdermott and most of their players that had a good second half to last season.

8 of the players who featured for Reading against Forest at the weekend, played against us in this game at the Walkers last season.

We were slightly lucky to nick a 1-0 win at their place, which like this game was on SKY so hopefully it will be another win against Reading on the tele.

I'm saying a solid 2-0 win, :fc:

Leeds have recovered from a poor home loss to Derby to record a thrashing of Lincoln in the cup, a very good away draw at Forest and a comfortable win over Millwall.

Last time out at Elland Road was the 1-1 draw on Boxing day which was unlucky not to be a win with Snodgrass late on cancelling out Oakleys opener.

Two wins would be very nice and shut the doubters up for a while, lets hope we can win both but i would take a win on Saturday over the cup obviously.

I rekon we will draw at Leeds and get through in extra time.

Quite an important few days to get some momentum going in these 2 matches.

Come on Leicester!

Can't see us winning in the cup, but can see us winning on saturday.

Predictions:

Leeds 2-1 Leicester (King)

Leicester 1-0 Reading (Campbell)

Posted

Lids 1 (Gradel)

Leicester 0

Leicester 2 (Campbell, King)

Reading 1 (Kebe)

Posted

Leicester 3 - 1 Reading.

I can see them getting their heads up (especially if we win tomorrow night) and getting a half decent win. Well i hope so anyway .

Leeds Team News:

Davide Somma should start with Luchiano Becchio being rested.

Max Gradel returns from four-match ban.

Robert Snodgrass, Billy Paynter & Paddy Kisnorbo - All injured.

Ben Parker returns from thigh injury.

Read my post above

he could come off the bench and score twice  "resting" a player does not necessarily mean they are out of the squad completely

Can't see more than a loss in the Cup and another unfortunate draw at home vs. Reading.

I'd rejoice some positive surprises, though.

But with a rocky start, the team not gelling properly, a few key players injured and morale (allegedly) low, I expect it to be a disappointing week.

The motor's stuttering, but I'm sure it'll get into gears as the season progresses.

Anyone know if its going to be a decent crowd? or are we just scrapeing the 20,000 barrier <_<

The online ticket do-dar on the OS is making look like there gonna be quite a few there today!! But with Leicester who knows
