Matt Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Was I correct in hearing Radio Leicester report he was doing an interview with Sky after the game sporting a black eye? If so was the black-eye there before the match does anyone know? I fear Sousa's lost the dressing room, already.
Jimothy Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Think it's unlikely Sousa has been lamped by a player and we've not heard about it. Probably been hit by a ball in training, or his missus is abusive. But I doubt it's a player, I know transfer requests have been apparently been handed in, but punch your boss and I don't think you'd get chance to hand one in, you'd be straight out the door.
Leigh984 Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Got to wonder about comunication in the club we've got 3 diferent nationalitys at the key positions language must be a major hurdle
stix Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Just watching yesterdays game again as id had a fair few sherberts by the time i got into the ground. Sousa definately didnt have a black eye before the game. Not seen the interview afterwards yet tho.
AndyBrew Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 I heard that he got his black eye off Kevin Barclay after a heated discussion in the tunnel at half time with regards Paulo's persistent standing in the technical area, the club have stated that it's nothing to do with mr sousa's constant shouting more to do with ensuring the safety of other staff members in and around the dug out.

Edmund Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Fryatt knocked him out during the post match team talk apparently.
Fosse Boy Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Think his missus had just been at the Stella to be honest.
Unabomber Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 A headbutt from Matty Fryatt's massive head would give anyone a black eye.
skinnydipper Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 I think the Thais slapped him about a bit at the break for the poor first half performance. He's probably missing an ear after the defeat.
jamesmilner Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 i wastalking to someone who works at lcfc . they assured me the players openly dont like sousa ! watch/replay the subs reactions to his instructions before coming on , and dany's reaction to his talking to at side of pitch , there was no eye contact whatsoever , i can assure you again ,THEY DONT LIKE HIM !
jamesmilner Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 SOUSA GOT THAT EYE UNFORTUNATELY BY ACCIDENT IN TRAINING , lets hope his next one is meant
Fosse Boy Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 In what way is this anywhere near resembling official?
Leicfox Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Nothing official about you hearing a rumour, but as it stands i think it's more that they resent the way Sousa was appointed and knew he was taking Pearsons job well before the takeover happened.
stix Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 SOUSA GOT THAT EYE UNFORTUNATELY BY ACCIDENT IN TRAINING , lets hope his next one is meant Training when? He didnt have it before the game and after half time yesterday?
stix Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Training when? He didnt have it before the game and after half time yesterday? ....maybe he did. I thought by black eye you meant a shiner like the turkish guy for reading had!
Stadt Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 I don't know about Sousa but Jem Karachan definatley has.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Sousa has a frightening split personality that manifests itself in the changing rooms, his other self being Paulo Soulsucker, a gothic troubador from the 19th century. As such he wears mascara on one eye and both Sousa and Soulsucker talk to each other as he turns 180 degrees to represent each side of his personality. As Sousa takes time to encourage and upbuild his team, suddenly Soulsucker will interject and the poor Portuguese must switch sides to give his alter ego its say. Soulsucker is a far more abrassive and hostile character who berates and criticises the players for ever wrong touch of the ball or mistimed run, though fortunately, in the battle of wills Sousa will eventually regain control of the body and thus, come the 2nd half, a superior City performance is revealed. Until recently Sousa had been able to keep Soulsucker to the vicinity of the changing rooms, but on Saturday, Soulsucker won out for the right to be displayed in equal right before the Sky cameras postmatch, wanting to take some credit for the 1st half performance.
Matt Posted 29 August 2010 Author Posted 29 August 2010 Just watched his interview back on Sky+ and it certainly isn't a 'fresh' black eye, looks like it's been done a few days/while ago, tbh if Radio Leicester hadn't mentioned it doubt i'd have noticed it. Slightly bruised above his eye on the edge of his eyebrow.
andy_croydz Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 , I highly doubt any player hit him, if a player lamped the manager I think the rest of the dressing room would probably fly a few fists in the direction of the player who did it.
