Not a Fosse Boy but intend to stand with them at the next home game if they are allowed in.

Also writing (not emailing as its too easy to delete) a dirty great big letter to Mandaric and the Thai bloke telling them that their club is an absolute disgrace for targeting the FB and they should concentrate sorting the current shite out on the pitch not whats going on off of the field.

Make a chant showing the club that most fans are in favour of the FosseBoys being at matches that can be sung at the next home match.

Apologies for double posting - I stuck this on the Fosse Boys thread as well

Email sent. hope it helps

Further to your posting on the Foxes Talk website I thought I would drop you a line to give my perspective on the matter.

I should make it clear from the outset that I am not a member of the Fosse Boys and speak merely as a Leicester supporter who used to be a season ticket holder/regular from around 1990 until 2004 or thereabouts. From what I have learned of the club’s actions in the last week or so, I am truly outraged at the apparent bullying of this group of supporters.

If you have the time or inclination, it is worth reading through the Fosse Boys thread on the Foxes Talk site. From the very start, they have outlined their stated aim to improve the atmosphere at the Walkers Stadium with chanting, flag waving and singing and a more “continental” approach to supporting their team. The forum has enabled like minded individuals to come together. It is also fair to say that the groundswell of support you see now was not evident from the start. There were a great deal of skeptics and critics of the Fosse Boys yet all the way through they have accepted the criticism and answered all of the questions put to them by other forum members. They have were they felt necessary modified their approach in an attempt to paint themselves in a positive light to fend of their critics.

A lot of people dismissed them and thought they wouldn’t even get off the ground yet the did and have done so with hard work and dedication. They have had meetings with the club and conceded to the clubs wishes that they would not be permitted to take flagpoles into the stadium.

They have gained support from other clubs including the Secretary of York City FC who have a similar “Ultras” group which works with the blessing of the club. The York Secretary even offered to lobby his counterpart at Leicester on their behalf.

They have also conducted themselves on the forum (sometimes following aggressive or manipulative arguments from others) with great humour and dignity that even some of the fiercest critics are now squarely behind them.

Myself and many others like me were outraged by the communication from the club which apparently told them to stop standing up, despite this going unchallenged elsewhere in the stadium and for attracting complaints from other fans for them being too noisy. The initial reaction of the Fosse Boys was to not attend the next game (against Reading) to give them a chance to re think their strategy yet they have been overwhelmed by support from others not to give in and go to the match and sing even louder.

So the disruptive and bullying actions of the club at this weekend’s game with Reading are as disgraceful as they are baffling – it is difficult to know what the club has to fear from this group which has so far handled itself in an excellent fashion.

So far of course, the club has said nothing of substance officially - I believe the club should be called to account and outline its position clearly with regard to the Fosse Boys.

I admit that I speak not as an expert, not even an attendee at any of the matches concerned and may not even be in possession of the full facts but I do speak as a fan who has seen this group born through hard work and determination with peaceful aims who is disgusted with LCFC’s attempts to crush them. Ironically this action by the club appears only to be drumming up more support for the Fosse Boys.

:appl: Well articulated, mate. I think many of us that are not part of the Fosse Boys, but support them and their cause can firmly stand behind your sentiment. Good work.

With regards to the ticket stub, I also do that at every home game as I saw it as a convenience for both me at the guy at the kiosk. So what is all that about?

Our club is fast becoming as soulless as the bowl that we play in every other week

Yep, same as me, I thought I was doing them a favour, I actually ripped it out in front of them and got told on Sat in no uncertain terms not to.

So from now on I will just hand over the ST closed and let them find the right coupon.

This is supposed to be a "pleasure" to support MY team, its now getting to be a real pain in the behind.

Whats next?

Good luck to the FB's but I cant help thinking this will all backfire, I agree that most of the back 2or3 rows of the Kop were standing all game, and nothing was done.

What are the club so scared of?

I hope a meeting can be arranged where they can tell us..

It may be up to Milan to sort this mess out. He's done it in the past, after the Forest cup tie in 07, when fans were a lot less angry than they are now.

The Mercury, 5Live, the Mirror... and Rutland Radio. I just contacted my mate who's their sports reporter (on holiday in Spain right now, but said he'd check it out when he gets back). It doesn't get any bigger than that!

I'm not a Fosse Boy but because I was standing in SK1 near the back (obstructing nobody I might add as I made an effort not to be in anyones way) I was told I had been filmed by the police, they had my face on record and if I didn't sit down I'd be kicked out and maybe even banned. They told several people scattered around near me to sit too - it's a joke what football has become, it really is. The Fosse Boys were a few rows away from us so I don't know if they though we were maybe part of them or something but still, it's not right. They're happy to tell small groups to sit down or they'll be banned but when it comes to massive groups they'd quite happily be hypocritical bastards and let them stand because they'd quite clearly have a riot on their hands.

I hate football sometimes I really do.

Or indeed, anyone who had tickets for SK1 and were refused access to that part of the ground.

Certain blocks in that corner were two-thirds empty.

Had those who wanted to gather there been allowed to do so, there would have been NO threat whatsoever to either safety or public order, whatever club sources may say to imply otherwise.

And the only ones shooting themselves in the foot yesterday would've been the players and management..

Get yourself quoted in there Ultra. With great power comes great responsibility :D

Also genuinely would add some gravitas to the whole thing.

After speaking to Fosse Boy, LCFC-ARAB numerous times, I know they are not there to cause trouble at all.

This whole episode is depressing. Poor results and transfer requests i may be able to deal with but when the club are actively shitting on their own supporters its demorilising. The matchday experience at the minute is garbage. All these lads wanna do is have a bit of a sing and get behing OUR club and they get treated like criminals. LCFC you are making yourselves look an even bigger laughing stock than usual.

Hi my name is Laura and I am from the Leicester Mercury.

I have had loads of great people contact me to say they had terrible experiences on Saturday......but i would really like to speak to anyone who was ACTUALLY turned away from SK1 as a result of being part fo the Fosse Boys?

This can be anonymous.

Lots of people have said that they know people who were turned away, or saw people be turned away, but i need to talk to someone who has first hand experience.

Thanks

Do people really care?!

I think, given the number of posts in the Fosse Boy's Threads - and the support shown by others who have no connection with them whatsoever - it's fairly obvious many, many people do care.
