Waghorn...

No Thanks!100% effort yes,passion.yes.but goals no.i will get slated for this, but i would want someone with a proven goal scoring record. This is not waghorn.

Bear in mind he started the season on the bench, and was then suspended around Christmas time, 12 goals is a great return by anyone, and the effot he put in at times was priceless.

Exactly.

You also have to take in to account how many chances his tireless running and harassing defenders created.

mixed opinions on this.

i want someone in who can score us the goals we actually need which may well be waghorn

but also i think him coming back would be good for the players who played along side him last year... i`m hoping it would bring that team bond back that we had last year someone mentioned hobbs king waggy as the spine of the team i cannot agree more tbh.if it happened i`d be happy as team morale and confidence is vital especially were we are at the minute

That doesn't strike me as having 'mixed opinions'?!

:S

Sounds like you're all for it. :D

Edit : Also, if this did happen i wonder if Chrissy P or any of the lads had any input in this? Certainly would be a morale booster all round.

not sure what Stringer is getting at?? is he confirming it? saying it's nonsense? neither?

I read it that for once someone knows more than him and he is not happy.

He's saying that Motty, who's likely to be well informed, has gone and blurted out something maybe he shouldn't have. Which sounds like good news for us.

Stringer's tweets are so confusing, can't tell if it's intentional or not!

anyway, please be true! Good way of Sousa getting any fans off his back for a bit!

Will have a great impact on the squad if it happens, him and Kingy can work on some new celebrations for when the ref actually allows his goals.

it seems like he is quoting what motty said on the radio Motson: (talking about waggy speculation) ".. i think you'll find he's gone TONIGHT!"

although i didnt hear it in context so im just guessing

Alright all? Just signed up as a thread has been posted on a Sunderland forum that all but confirms that Waggy is returning to the Walkers Stadium. We're in the process of trying to sign both Asamoah Gyan and Charles N'Zogbia but if Bruce is to be believed then we're needing a little bit more cash to see BOTH deals through. 2mil might be the difference between signing one of these or signing both.

Slightly disappointed that he's moving on but players come and go I suppose and all at Sunderland AFC wish him and Leicester all the best for the coming season.

Sunderland thread here..
