Waghorn...

Just fecking go through and give us pretty much the first bit of good news for a while (win at the Dirty Leeds excepted)...

One good sign is that the Sunderland forum appears to be going through the first two of the five stages of grief.

Denial

Anger

Here's generally angry at most things mate. Students being top of his list. Waghorn came off the bench on tuesday night in the carling cup and looked full of energy and very good on the ball. A million times better than Wellbeck who started the game. Yet Wellbeck came off the bench yesterday and was a million times better than Waghorn on tuesday so i'm not quite sure what to think! Being a local lad, Sunderland fans will follow his progress no doubt. Very disappointed you didn't get promotion last season. You had the support of us lot!

Hobbs didn't give PS a shiner. Get a grip people.

Obviously a ball smacked him the face during training, lads have a laugh about it.

On a more serious note, Waggy is coming home :)

I can not for one second imagine Hobbs gave Sousa a black eye over zonal marking.

This. It just sounds so daft. lol

But then again, so did Pearson to Hull initially...

Be surprised if Hull could afford the phone bill let alone the transfer fee.

they afforded 20k a week for Koren and if Zayette goes...i admire your confidence though

if players want to leave city then thats upto them, the club is bigger than any player,if its true about waghorn then i dont care if fryatt or campbell go and sousa will get it right, just needs patience to change our style of play,

To be fair, I'd give Sousa a black eye if he talked to me about zonal marking. Don't try fixing what wasn't broken.

sounds good!!!!!!

Wish that was the 11 but Managers never seem to play what fans would prefer!!

Ha ha, glad to hear it mate.

We've a couple like that as well, just read the Fosse Boys thread for details.

Nah, Waggy was absolutely sterling for us last season and it's kind of a surprise that Bruce is letting him go. I remember saying last season that he would be an established Premiership striker by the time he was 21. Let's just hope I'm proved right. He's full of running, work rate, strength and pace. Doesn't necessarily have the footballing brain of Fryatt for example but he is young and that's likely to come with experience.

Let's just hope that you'll be able to follow his progress on MOTD before long. Also thanks for your support last season, nice to see other clubs backing us. :scarf:

any idea why my thread got deleted?

I know i put it in the wrong section, but can't it just be moved?

It got merged with this one.

Oo this is most interesting.

Can't believe Hobbs to smack Sousa, he's too collective and plus- Hobbs would kill Sousa in a hit. Also, he wouldn't be played/ subbed at half time and over zonal marking :S.

Plus we haven't been playing zonal marking. I missed the Reading game so can't say whether we didn't in that but I can definitely say we have not been playing zonal marking in any of the previous 5 games.
