Jackirius Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 We will win atleast 3-0 tonight. Quote me back when we do.
leftsideoverhere Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 That is one of the things that my gripe is based on. I don't really want to hear from him about the mood of the players. I'd take it for granted that like any normal group of people they would be disappointed about a loss and besides they are free to express their feelings in their own interviews. I would much rather he spent his time analysing his own tactics, particularly concerning formation and substitutions, than deferring to the players' state of mind. "Deferring to the players' state of mind"? I'm sure he's not deferring to it, the interview suggests he's aware of it as a thing which needs to be addressed, and corrected. I guess you mean 'referring' - but the fact that he refers to it doesn't mean he's not also thinking exactly in the way you want about the tactics, formation and substitutions. He's talked at length in many interviews about his thought processes in terms of training, preparation, tactics, review of games and such like. He's never given any indication of ignoring these things as far as I can see. Your gripe - and you're not the only one to say it, it pops up in the comments on the Mercury site from time to time - amounts to saying that the only thing Sousa should talk about are his tactics. Which would lead to very odd interviews with the media every time they ask him about the players, or the state of the pitch, or the fixture list, or the weather. I think we should give him a little credit to be able to discuss such things for a couple of minutes each week without it detracting massively from his tactical preparations for the next game.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 No I meant deferring in that he seems to suggest low morale has been a cause of bad results and remains a potential threat going forward as opposed to recognising that in most cases it is more likely his tactics are the causal factor both with regard to the poor results and the apparent low morale.
MC Prussian Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 We will win atleast 3-0 tonight. Quote me back when we do. ... only to revert to losing ways on Friday. Please don't mark my words.
J.Lisemore Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Portsmouth 13/8....tempting. I did it. At least either way it goes, i'll be a happy man.
kylestyle06 Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 I did it. At least either way it goes, i'll be a happy man. You won't If it goes to extra time and Pompey win
Corky Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Let's score the first goal tonight as well. Haven't done that this season.
Bert Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 A goal in the first half wouldn't be too much to ask for!

Guest BlueBrett Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 moreno abe and king in midfield. Could be interesting?
Guest NGoloMode Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Interested to see how Vitor gets on.
Legend_in_blue Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 I'm worried about this week. Just because they are bottom makes these no pushovers. Kitson and Nugent. This sums it up for me.
Wilkesy Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Captain king. Love it! Very happy with this.
milan_foxes Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 The team does show that we have a very good squad, to have the players that aren't in the starting 11 not playing is quite positive. COME ON YOU BLUUUUUUUES!
Wilkesy Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Possibly a 4-2-3-1 with Moreno and Abe holding?
Narborough_fox Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 ...waghorn I think not even %50 sure...cup tied?
lcfcsnow Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Good team, shame about the useless one up front.
Narborough_fox Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 would make sense Definitely cup-tied.
MikeyT Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Waghorn played against Colchester in the earlier round
