So, Facebook is screwed and doesn't work - either not at all or too unreliably to be of any use. So, what to do in the meantime?

Personally, I'm watching a dull T20 match on Sky Sports between two teams I've never heard of, and seriously contemplating going to bed.

Oh, and mashing the F5 key to see if Facebook is back.

Probably because they are only clubs, and the internet sucks with no facebook.

I use Facebook too, but I find it so sad that Facebook screws up and for so many young people this means time effectively stands still.

I cant undestand people who cant live without things like Facebook. I admit it has very good uses, and my life wouldnt be the same without it (due to writing messages to my girlfriend, and that is how our relationship started really) but people generally use it to read other peoples rubbish. My cousin does it all the time. Comes here for the night or two at weekends to go and see City play, and spends all his time looking at facebook, despite seeing all these friends at school the day before!

The things people post are absolutle tosh, for this reason I have about 20-30 people on 'hide' on the live feed thing. Its used as a competition to see who can get the most friends, with people adding anyone who they may have once spoken to or just met. The word 'friend' on Facebook is wrong, it should be 'acquaintance', no one has 600 friends! The vast majority are who you know, not friends! And why would you want to read about what they are doing anyway!? And why are people so thick they dont use their privacy settings properly? There are so many people in this world that you cant trust, yet people let other users look at their whole profile, and personal information without having them as 'friends'. Its how a lot of burgalries happen, someone posts 'I'm off on holiday for two weeks!' a 'friend' (or anyone for that matter due to the shit privacy settings), who they dont really know, goes 'oh there is someone to rob!'. It happens, you hear reports of it, and I have heard from other people about how it has happened to friends of theirs.

Crazy. People live their entire life on facebook, but really they just need to get out more.

I wish everyone thought the same as you.

I agree some people live on it and feel the need to broadcast their whole life on it -_-. I only really go on it if i need to contact someone or something, also play a bit of frontier ville ;)

Is fine for me. I've just discovered I've not logged on to it for weeks though, missing all my birthday 'congrats' messages!:doh:
