rams r4 sh*ggin Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 i was 1 of the fans calling for his head. i admit i liked his style of game bt results are ultimately wat the games all about. after spending every chance i gt 2check if he was sacked since tues nite i was strangely took aback wen he had gone
NorthernFox Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Slightly surprised after the vote of confidence this week. Wanted to give him longer because i love the idea of playing proper passing football. Remembered how bored I was with Italian football in the 90's. Almost had wood at the thought of MON returning, realised it might be Sven (ooh) prayed its not Pardew, Curbishley or Dowie. Bemused overall. Bugger.
OutFoxing-Cov-Since1884 Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Sad and dissapointed. Sad for Paulo. Dissapointed in Milan!
moseeds Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 I really wanted Sousa to stay to build a successful footballing side. I knew it would take time. However it seems he doesn't have the ability to lift his players *before* the game starts and this led to his downfall. I bid him farewell. Hopefully Sven will attempt to continue the attacking, passing football whilst ensuring a more aggressive defence.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Not joy, just a general feeling of 'about time really.'
rabbid Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 I just thought that I hope to god the mods dont merge this with all of the other sousa threads
MC Prussian Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Completely bedazzled, then realizing how good of a good news it was. Actually, I was surprised to see Mandy, Aiyawatt & Co. react that quickly.
thybluefox Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Frustration, relief, disappointment. Frustration because of the "here we go again" feeling. Relief because I think it needed to happen, but; Disappointment because I really thought he had potential to turn us into a good side. Just a shame he couldn't pick a side and stick with it, or motivate players I guess.
Onions Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 I went to hospital because I needed loads of tests on my heart, so the last news id heard before I went in was that Milan was backing Sousa. Had all the tests and what not, discovered I wasn't gonna die this week, blah blah blah, went on my iphone the moment i'd left and heard we were linked with Sir Martin and Sousa was sacked. Nearly had a fooking heart attack in excitement. Was very interesting

Guest DavidJCW Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 Was sitting working at the computer when another City fan informed me of the news... She was a bit bemused and I don't think she knew what to think... another City fan there was gutted as he felt Sousa should have been given more time, and I was elated! Lost the players, lost the board, lost the fans... there was NO way Sousa could have continued and helped us forward... It has to be said that when my colleague told me we were in the hunt for O'Neill and Sven, I was stunned but extremely excited by the prospect either one of them could have for this club!
leicesterthroughandthrough Posted 2 October 2010 Author Posted 2 October 2010 I was a bit surprised, but same old same old.
North-LondonFox Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 happiness. sousa = bag of shit Probably a bit harsh on the gut - a couple of months is too soon to make a judgement like that
Corky Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 Surprised, was listening to Radio 1 news and didn't expect to hear about a managerial change.
Philbert Fox Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 I was upset, cos I think given more time he would have turned things around, although the results wern't coming we did play some good football. I feel he made a mistake, if he was insistant on playing more attack minded attractive football, he should have brought in virtually a new squad, because lets be honest a lot of those players just arn't up to that style of play, especially the defence. Our two best centre backs Aleksandr Tunchev and Angelo Miguel Vitor (in my opinion) havn't been available for a lot of his reign which in my opinion has caused us real problems at the back, but I want to wish him all the best in the future and am sure he will come back stronger from this.
Jay Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 relief The bloke was a waste of space he was tactically inept, stubborn, failed to reconise any players strengths, had the players seriously short of match fitness, sent the players out with little or no idea on what they should be doing, talked a load of shit and seemingly didn't have a clue, stuck with a formation that clearly would never work etc etc From the looks of the players today and although not the best performance it looked like they had a massive weight lifted off their shoulders as well so long farewell and all that
ajthefox Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 Pretty annoyed really. Felt Sousa deserved more of a chance, especially after the summer we've had. I actually thought he might have been able to turn it round too, well at least get us up the table. I was disapointed/worried too because I didn't really see where we'd be getting our next manager from.
