Libertine Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 What? I love Bruno, but if true, it's ridiculous. EDIT: Oh, thought it said he had come out of retirement. That's okay then.
sdb Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 well done Em. Let the fans have Crouch and co. One day they'll eat humble pie.
SeCrEt FoX Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 His goal is candidate for goal of the month for october . Go on Emile!!!!
dandannieldanok Posted 3 October 2010 Posted 3 October 2010 well done Em. Let the fans have Crouch and co. One day they'll eat humble pie. Yea poor us, how will we survive we crappy Crouch and his 50% goalscoring record and his constant stream of assists.
MPH Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 yeah can't wait to draw Jamaica in the Euro's Excuse me?
Wymsey Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 At the moment Heskey is in much better form than Rooney. If Capello drops Rooney and replaces him with Emile then i wouldn't be too surprised. He deserves a call up whatever the opposition.
Ozwin Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 yeah can't wait to draw Jamaica in the Euro's so true.
dandannieldanok Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 yeah can't wait to draw Jamaica in the Euro's Unlike Heskey, Crouch has scored against a plethora of nations so that joke doesn't really work.
The Doctor Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 Unlike Heskey, Crouch has scored against a plethora of nations so that joke doesn't really work. and how many of those nations are of any quality? He's scored against 14 different nations, 6 are in the top 50 in the world (uruaguay (7th), egypt (9th) ,croatia (11th), greece (12th),ukraine(26th), mexico(28th)), 4 are between 50th & 75th (hungary (51st), belarus (55th), austria (61st), macedonia (71st),) 4 are below 75th (jamaica (76th), estonia (85th), trinidad & tobago (97th), Andorra 202nd) 6/14 = 43% against teams in top 50, 4/14 = 28% against teams between 50th and 75th, 29% against teams lower than 75th Heskey has scored against 7 different nations Spain (1st), Germany (3rd), Slovakia (16th) Denmark (29th), South Africa (58th), Kazakhstan (126th), Malta (150th) 4/7 = 57% against teams in top 50, 1/7 = 14% against teams between 50th and 75th, 2/7 = 29% against teams below 75th so although crouch has scored 3 times as many as heskey, heskey has scored 14% more of his goals against sides FIFA believe are good quality.
Samilktray Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 So its alright for a striker to score less if its against better opposition?
dandannieldanok Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 and how many of those nations are of any quality? We're playing Montenegro.
Asha Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 Plus you've failed to take into account teams' ability changes over time. Spain were not the best team in the world when Heskey scored against them, etc.
Corky Posted 4 October 2010 Posted 4 October 2010 He's made the right decision, let's give younger players like Kevin Davies a go.
