Maybes Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 I says on football ground guide drinking in Barnsley town centre not recommended this seems a bit extreme is Barnsley that rough? I am gooing by car so am looking to possibly park at a pub near the ground. The only pub ive seen recommended for away fans is the outpost on Sheffield road is anyone else going in there ive not been Barnsley before. You'll be fine in the town centre aslong as you're not in colours.
lcfc"weasel" Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 You could park in the official car park a stones throw from the away end then drink in the sports complex things 2 minutes away, loads of city fans in there when I was at Barnsley.

lcfc_jme Posted 2 November 2010 Posted 2 November 2010 So does anyone have any idea on how many we have sold?? 8,000,000.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 November 2010 Posted 2 November 2010 This shit is going to get a bit messy. Can't wait, huge away day.
Anish Posted 2 November 2010 Posted 2 November 2010 FAO any Londoners (who have a 16-25 railcard) wanting to go to the game on Saturday. I have return train tickets to and from Barnsley - I bought them ages ago and got them for £23. However, I am now unable to go to the game. If you have a 16-25 railcard and fancy going to the game I'll sell the train tickets to you for face value (they are more expensive if you buy them now or on the day). Send me a PM if you're interested.
barnsleyfc Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 barnsley fan http://foxestrust.co...id=961&Itemid=2 seen this and yes the away car park is still £3 but just a bit of info so you dont get ripped off just before you get to the away car you will see a blonde lass wanting you to go in a bit of land to park for the game and they will charge you upto £5 to park here and its only £3 to park in official away car or you can also park in the metrodome for £3 hope you have a good day out and hope you bring a few i think 2-1 barnsley
accessory Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Thanks for this. But most fans travelling by car tend to park at the Metrodome anyway.
barnsleyfc Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 you can but only if they dont have anything on in side like a wedding or nail thing plus it on a saturday and only has up 250 spaces
Fosse Boy Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Swim, Cher (Lloyds), Huntsman, Newton, Draft, Waterworks all potential spoons in City centre. Final Destination TBA Thinks that's where I'm headed. Followed by somewhere called The Devonshire Cat, which is apparently full of good continental lagers. Then off to something called Pop Tarts in the evening?

Then off to something called Pop Tarts in the evening? Huge. Might see if i can get a ticket for Poppy Ts too then. Tommeh will do the same.
Fosse Boy Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Huge. Might see if i can get a ticket for Poppy Ts too then. Tommeh will do the same. Belter. Think I went there three years ago after the Sheff Yoo 0-3, can't remember for sure though. Remember buying a massive pizza and doner meat for about 65p, then crashing out somewhere.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 On FoxTravel for this one, Just gonna pile in at the back, should imagine a fair few will be standing.
Mee Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 On FoxTravel for this one, Just gonna pile in at the back, should imagine a fair few will be standing. Which coach you on mate? Cannot wait for this, as you said, pile in at back. Last away game for myself seems ages ago.
Karljohn Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Fox Travel for me, easy run from Atherstone but can't be bothered driving, plus the poxy coach seats make my legs cramp so I'll have to stand for the entire 90 minutes to stretch them out.
Houdini Logic Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 So is everyone drinking in Sheff before the game and not Barnsley?
Rich Fox Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 barnsley fan http://foxestrust.co...id=961&Itemid=2 seen this and yes the away car park is still £3 but just a bit of info so you dont get ripped off just before you get to the away car you will see a blonde lass wanting you to go in a bit of land to park for the game and they will charge you upto £5 to park here and its only £3 to park in official away car or you can also park in the metrodome for £3 hope you have a good day out and hope you bring a few i think 2-1 barnsley Thamks for the imfo mate is it easier to get away if you park in the metrodome rather than the away car park, hate getting hemmed in? Looking on google maps do you think I could park down Sherwood st or Winermere road as I am getting there early about 12.00.
Rich Fox Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Tickets avalable until 10am at the walkers on Saturday and avalable at oakwell before the game, this should boost our away following?
Fosse Boy Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Pfffft, going to away games by car is so Hereford. It's all about the...
Cobbo Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Parking at the ground is pretty simple. But be prepared to be stuck there for an hour after the game.
ajthefox Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Thinks that's where I'm headed. Followed by somewhere called The Devonshire Cat, which is apparently full of good continental lagers. Then off to something called Pop Tarts in the evening? they've got a biiiig selection in there, none of the run of the mill lagers like fosters, carlsberg stella etc etc although it wasn't cheap if I remember rightly.

Then off to something called Pop Tarts in the evening? Just checked and they do Rocheforts 6,8 and 10. This shit's gonna get Sampdoria. Possibly even Atalanta.
Mr B Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Does this Devonshire Cat sell anything i might like? Like spirits or Carling . Or am I going to be on the Coke until the next pub .
