DarkTranquillity Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Is Spearing likely to be on the list, don't think he's getting a look in at Liverpool. He showed a real touch of class at the back end of last season and we miss that extra bit of bite in midfield. Would love to see him back!!

He was on their bench at Everton so they must think he might be ready nearly.

He was on the bench against Everton on sunday, and i think he has been for the majority of the season. I can't see him leaving between now and January. Depends how many (if any) players Liverpool sign in January Beaten too it! <_<
MrSpaM Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 No you're not. He was the product of a panicky final days transfer dealings and a signing to please the fans. Probably a good signing at around £1.5- £2 million but no more. If we hadnt played hardball over campbell to get the extra dosh I doubt if we would have paid this. It got reported on the day that we did only pay 2mil for him, i think the price only goes up to 3 mil if we get promoted, thats the impression i got on the day. This 3mil straight up payment seems to have been picked out of thin air a bit, and now everybodys taking it as gospel. I might be wrong, but i defintly read on the day "2million, with possibility of rising to 3million"
Fox88 Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 I dont know about darius. He as hackneyfox said about fryatt is hit or miss i think. The only one i could get excited about is ishmael miller. My father in law (who is a baggie boy) says he's always falling over like a sack of shit but then in this league he has proven himself. He's just struggled after injury. Tom cleverley would be nice to see again too. Also, am i the only one who thinks that lord dyer is fantastic. His work ethic is tremendous which i think spurges on the rest. I could be delusional tho!

Callabinho Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Sven Is a wise head, he knows what is required to strengthen us. As we all constantly pointed out the Defence was unstable he plugged it up with two quality players, People need to remember that he was the most successful England coach since Sir Bobby. Not only does he have heaps of experience he also has heaps of respect! and a contact book full of credible sources. As long as no Premier League team looses a manager this season and comes for Sven, He is the man! Forget what he has done in the past few years, he will get us rolling!
OzFox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Am i the only one on here who doesn't think Waghorn is worth £3 million? He just seems out of touch at the moment and making dodgy decisions with the ball. We need two powerful strikers - quickly. Might be the reason Steve Bruce described it as "an incredible offer"
scott_gunnell Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Some really interesting things put on this thread by the fans. 1) I think the fact that Sven knows he has a target for the Premier League means action needs to be taken now. I would feel sorry for a player that gets cut out but that isn’t any different in any company the average person works for after a massive change. If a Leicester player is good enough for Prem, he will defiantly play in the Prem if LCFC get there. 2) Players will take the risk on playing in the championship if they think the manager is good enough and if the manager has the backing of the chairman. As Ronaldo said before the Ivory Coast played Portugal in the World Cup "They will be more confident because he (Sven) is a fantastic coach". Players know about him lads and will follow him to your club That’s what Sven brings to a club. Anyone in the media who continually slam Sven should look at the amount of players that will trust in him.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 I desperately hope there are plenty of right-wingers in that 50, we're crying out for one.
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 He was on the bench against Everton on sunday, and i think he has been for the majority of the season. I can't see him leaving between now and January. Depends how many (if any) players Liverpool sign in January Beaten too it! <_< On a slightly related, but going off topic note, has Jonjo Shelvy got anywhere near to their squad yet?
ellis boyd Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Agard doesn't have to be included in 25 man squad due to his age Healy is dog poo unless he's wearing a N. Ireland shirt Emmanual-Thomas does not have to be included in the 25 man squad either (but he would be a decent signing as he is very versatile!) Ah - the age thing - I wondered why Emmanual-Thomas wasn't listed in their 25 but made an appearance for the last 5 mins at the weekend. He's young, big, pacey, top goalscorer for Arsenal reserves, not geeting games for the first team - I'd be STUNNED if he wasn't on the list of 50! Looking through some of Sven's previous players to have worked with I found these two out of favour stars: Emmanuel Kone Giovani dos Santos
sdb Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 quality not quantity Sven!! More in the line of Davis and Naughton please!
Master Fox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 fcuk it, we should go in for Rooney. Better than him sitting on the bench for the rest of the season losing transfer value. Top & Sven make it happen!
Adster Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 fcuk it, we should go in for Rooney. Better than him sitting on the bench for the rest of the season losing transfer value. Top & Sven make it happen! THIS!
Master Fox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 THIS! Actually, come to think of it I don't think Rooney is good enough for us. He doesn't fit the mould of our aspirations. Rooney is old baggage now, he's finished. He'll either end up like gazza or be in jail in a few years. We don't need players like that at clubs like Leicester who are going places. LCFC, Chelsea, Man City, and QPR are the new BIG Four. Fcuk Rooney
Simo86 Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 On a slightly related, but going off topic note, has Jonjo Shelvy got anywhere near to their squad yet? I think he might have played in their last european game but other than that i haven't seen him playing
brookie637 Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 read other gossip that sven is good mates with beckham so is it possible
Edmund Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 I've mentioned it many times but I'd love to see Lua Lua from Newcastle here. He's currently on loan at Brighton and looks more than competent enough to play in the championship. A real flair player who likes to take on his man and has a killer shot on him to boot.
hackneyfox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Why did Donny not try to get him on loan this season?
