Singing last night

Felt embarrassed yesterday by our poor support compared to their rather great support. Where were these 'fosse boys'?

None of those had a brilliant song in their name from the days when football fans put some effort in (except maybe Steve Clardige). Iwan was an iconic figure of our 90s front line and the memories of him and the fact that "Iwan is..." is fun (remember it?) to sing means it's lasted way beyond his tenure here.

The chant is superb there is no doubt about that and I just wish someone would come up with something as brilliant for a current player.

I dont agree that he's an iconic figure but then if others think that then thats fine.

WBA's support 'shit' ? lol

Fvcking hell, that's by an absolute stretch the noisiest away end to come here in a long time, I know they had a lot, and the competition for the best isn't exactly superb, but to say they were shit is pretty laughable to be honest. Thought their standing was extremely poor, but their noise was superb.

Home supporters are nearly always quieter to the man than away supporters and they had a bumper allocation while we had a main stand closed. What were you expecting? They were shit. No as bad as Hull, but shit.

They sung for about a quarter of the game at best?

Can't comment as I wasn't there but I don't think it would be FB members singing Leicester Library. At least I hope it wasn't.

Iwan Is A Welshman is a classic chant. that's why people sing it.

It seemed that way to me when a girl, yes girl with fosse boys scarf was singing Leicester Library, maybe wrong tho (they were opposite row of seats to samL)

West Brom song was pretty good(lords my shepard and wanna go home) I'd love when your smiling to be like that

I've been trying to get this going for ages at away games, got it going at Cardiff however got drowned out by another song.

Dont wanna go home

Dont wanna go home

This is the best trip I've ever been on

carnt hear the ????? Sing

carnt hear the ????? Sing

Carnt hear the ????? Sing

we'll sing on our own

don't wanna go home

Etc..

It was "Leicester's a shithole".

One man's fortune is another man's crying shame.

In all seriousness, you pay your money, you're free to do what you want, sit in silent reverence(?) or sing like a loon. I just wish there were more of the latter in attendance last night.

Really doesn't bother me either way. When I go to away games I'm happy to stand up and sing through the whole game and enjoy it. At home though, I usually go with my dad who would just rather sit and watch. That said, we don't sit in L1 or where the stander's are and moan about it. Last night was just a result of the East stand being closed. But I've got many more things to worry about in life than some drunken chav running up and down the stairs moaning at people watching the game and singing anti-home fan songs. If he was that bothered, why sit as far away as possible from the away fans when people were grouped in the west stand corner singing :dunno:

btw did some of the Fosse Boys got told off yesterday. I saw in that corner in the second half them being moved towards the kop?

Right, well that's embarrassing if true.

West Brom support was pants. It was like us at Cov. That 'wanna go home, this is a shitehole' song is rank and used by everyone. It's all the fools them considering where they live.

Sat at the top of SK2 yesterday and the atmosphere was great. A shame that some of the others couldn't get behind the lads to try and create some atmosphere too. West Brom fans were shit imo. Couldn't hear them till they were about 3-1 up!

I dunno about everyone else, but I have far more important things in life than to be 'embarrassed' by the fellow support of the team I follow.

If that's the kind of thing that consumes your thoughts, well you're one lucky person to have such an easy life.

Definitely. Not sure why people seem so keen to get it going here.

Quite like "Lord's my shepherd" and "We all go down" though.

EDIT: As West Brom songs obviously, not potential Leicester ones.

Where's the enjoyment though if there's no atmosphere? That's the whole point of going really. That's what makes live football different to watching games on the TV.

I also take pride in my club, but I can't be proud of it when no one gets behind it. It's embarrassing to be associated with some 'supporters'.

How are people measuring the greatness of there support? Numbers or Loudness? Because I was in SK2 and didnt hear a peep out of them.

Not saying ours was better because quite frankly it was shocking (relocating everybody doesn't help), but if we'd of taken 4k to the Hawthorns we would have made more noise then they did last night!

We were in SK2 amongst the majority of standers in the kop from what we could see. It was very difficult for us to impress ourselves on the rest of our support from where we were.

This could well be true, I was on the SamL side of where we were, sad to say it disappoints me no end if they did this, get behind your team not on the back of there fans or on the backs of the players, helps nobody whatsoever.

btw did some of the Fosse Boys got told off yesterday. I saw in that corner in the second half them being moved towards the kop?

When the stewards moved from blocking of SK1, four of us moved over there and stood underneath our banner, we were there for about 30 seconds before they came running back up and moved us back over to SK2, they did need to earn there wages after all.

Not really too suprised that some thought our support was shit. im sure you made some decent noise behind the goal at the far end, but we didnt hear you once, so its probably just a distance thing.

We sung pretty much all game, not the loudest we could be, but we were good in my opinion. Definitly could ahve been better with the amount we had though i agree.

Regarding 'The Lords My Shepherd' its a song that we are very proud of, just because its different and its only us that sing it. Have to agree that all this 'wanna go home' stuff that everybody sings is a load of rubbish.

was impressed with your noise for about 5 minutes after you scored, but that was about it, but had to be expected with most of the ground being shut.

had to register because im quite shocked how some of the fans on here said we were poor last night. i thought we were great. credit to the guys who sat in the corner right by us because they were the only leicester fans we could hear. but after the third went in they were a bit deflated.

Acoustics are shit at the walkers. There could of been 10k of you setting of fireworks and we still wouldnt of heard you, likewise down our end.

But our support stooped to a new low last night anyway

There was about 15 of us (myself, SamL and co.), that really gave it our all last night, we even continued to sing when we were 4-1 down but what can you do when nobody else was up for it? You know, it's not as if we would have made it to a cup quarter-final or anything if we'd have won

Just to reiterate, 'Leicester Library' was sung by 1 person and it really was minor.

Also, West Brom fans looked quite poor from where we were standing at the top of SK2. The only thing we heard (barely) from there was their 'Boing, Boing' chant when they scored.
