The Ashes

Conditions good for batting apparently. Another ton from an opener would set us up superbly for a victory in this test.

I really hope you mean poor decsion by Strauss.

exactly what i meant.

The bowlers need to hurry Trott up and not allow him to take the 15minutes he requires for every ball

Another great day for us. 1st time in my lifetime i actually feel we have a better side than the Aussies. We want to be batting for 2 sessions tomorrow then get them back in.

"Alastair Cook now holds the record for the number of minutes spent at the crease by an Englishman without being dismissed in Test cricket.  His 1022 minutes is 60 seconds better than the 1021 set by former Essex captain Nasser Hussain during England's 1999-2000 tour to South Africa."

Pretty sure Cook only needs about 50/60 more runs to actually pass the most runs scored by Strauss in the entire 09 Ashes (Strauss obviously being the top batsman that series)

Terrific day, needed to build on the excellent work in the field and so far we're doing that handsomely.

Very special mention for Alastair Cook, what a performance and to think a few months back he could've been dropped. Well done to all for keeping faith and it being repaid.

Also, if Doherty is the best Australia have to offer in terms of spinners, then they've got serious problems in that area. He was verging on woeful yesterday, being smacked all over the shop and not looking even close to taking a wicket.

Roll on day 3 where he claims his 5-for lol

Hopefully bat all day and declare overnight? gives us 2 days to try bowl out the Aussies

Expect him to get out within the first over then!

Great take from Haddin. :fc: England will collapse in a humiliating fashion and we might have a decent match here

Cook's gone for 148. Inside edge and a superb catch from Haddin diving to his right.

Another good innings from Cook. Just need a good one from Colly now!

And Cook's gone. Great performance again from him.

Good effort from Haddin to take the catch aswell to be fair.
